  1. Can you drill yamaha wheels to fit a honda bolt pattern? In theory i dont see anything wrong with it..other than you having more holes than normal..or would that make it weaker or something

I think you could do it but like some others said I would NOT advise it.

I once had a set of dune paddles/ wheels and they had multiple sets of holes in them and so would fit multiple bolt patterns. I did use them on multiple quads with no problems.

I also think it would depend on the type of wheel and the strength of that center section.

  2. Theses look really cool. I can't wait to see who they have racing for them in MX. Adam McGill has been doing pretty good in XC. Bot this may be what you need dude.

yea the 2009's are sweet. Here is some more info on them:

I heard they are not going to have an "Official" Factory MX team for 2009 although they may support a team through a dealer or something.

  3. is there a big difference in the shock YFZ450 shock to the elka basic shock that has a rezzy or piggyback whats different about them?

I do alot of motocross the jumps arnt that big, the biggest one i hit is a about 60-70ft. but i bottom out im just wondering if the basic elka reg. travel shock thats triple rate is good enough or should i go with a more advanced elka shock thats triple rate and has a compression adjustment

    I have +2 houser reg. travel a-arms

The stock YFZ shocks are pretty darn good but since you have put wider arms that has probaly softened them up. But are you bottoming in the rear or the front? There is different versions of the YFZ shocks also. Do you have high and low speed compression adjustability or a single compression adjustment? Where is your compression adjustment set at now?

  4. How could I get my warrior to have a stance like the 660 or 700. Can any of the front end fit on the warrior? Or maybe any of the 450 fit? I think the rear shock of a 660 will fit, but not sure, anyone know anything about changing different front and rear from different styles let me know.

If not anyone recommend any aftermarket for it.

    Jerry

by stance do you mean that you want it wider? A stock 660 or 700 is not really any wider than a stock Warrior.

And changing a rear shock is not going to change teh stance either unless you are meaning something different.

there is not alot of people making aftermarket a-arms for the Warrior. Lonestar is probaly your best bet for after market a-arms.

  5. 2005 750 Kawasaki Brute Force...oil started sptting out near my airbox. I've never had problems with my Brute Force until today. It is running fine. After the oil began to spit out, I let it cool and checked the oil level which was fine. Looks like it's coming out of a hose that goes from my crankcase to the airbox.....any suggestions ???

This is usually the result of overfilling it with oil just like Stoopidbot1 suggested.

Did you check the oil when it had been sitting cold or after it had run for awhile?

  6. Well, i have a 700cc suzuki twinpeaks. i figured it was a sport utility because it just seems sporty. i guess it could be just a utility atv, but im not entirely sure how they classify atvs

    Nate,

most any ATV racing series will classify your Suzuki as a utility quad. What you need to look for is some local Harescramble type series. Yes you could race a national GNCC but that is probaly not the best place to start. I see AMA district 23 has some Quad hare Scrambles:

  7. hey guys does anyone no if u can make the reverse on a warrior 350 can go any faster. no matter how much gas u giv it, it doesnt go any faster it revs but no go!:aargh:

What year Warrior? How fast do you want to go? Are your tires spinning faster when you rev it?

  8. I bought a new CDI from SRP with higher rev. and timing advanced ect. so the box wont work right until the motor gets warm does anyone have any solutions?

I never had much luck with the aftermarket CDI's on the YFZ. The stock one always worked the best and was the most reliable.

  9. So today started out great. Blue skys, warm air. We loaded the toys up to go play in the mountains. We arrive, everything is unloaded and we ride about 3/4 mile down a dirt road to get to the actual trail. I'm leading with Rhino not far behind when some 15 year old DUMB AS* on a YZ250 comes flying around a blind corner at about 40-50mph coming towards us. Luckily I slowed down for the corner and stayed to the inside when he went flying out of control around the outside. He smacked right into the Rhino peeling the rim off the tire, sliced the tire in 2 spots, ripped the corner of the hood. Ball joint is tweeked, that is what is obvious. I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow.

Oh yeah about the schmuck. He flew over the bars and schattered his collar bone on the roll cage. His dad is paying for it.

I'll post pics of the damage later.

I just hope the kid learns a lesson from it. Sounds like his dad is being reasonable so maybe he will.

  10. I knew Elka's are very expensive but I didn't realize that rebuilding shocks cost that much. I was wondering if mine need rebuilding and was going to look into it.

some of the shocks like the YFZ shocks, the TRX shocks, and the DS 450 shocks are very good shocks and just as good as any aftermarket shock when rebuilt. I don't know that I can say that about the stock 400EX shocks though.

How about some WORKS shocks? They are a decent shock that is less expensive than the Elka but alot better than your stockers.

  11. It is that easy. But start by making sure your handlebars are stright ahead then sight down the right and left and make sure they look like they are pointing straight ahead. Adjust if nesseccary. Then take the measurments. You want around 1/4" toe in.
