  1. I do know that they've put a lot of effort into improving the XP platform after the redesign. Updated front diff, as the old ones used to break the covers off. More frame bracing, as the older XP's used to crack the frame at the A-arm mount points. 

    As far as I know though the only problems I hear of these days are still faulty relays and circuit breakers, but I also don't know a lot of people with the refreshed XP's

  2. Wow, this has been an interesting read; You're definitely getting that machine looking great. It's funny because I'll never forget when I was younger -- a kid we ran into on the trails had one of these same machines. And man did he have no business riding it! Absolutely abused that thing, trashed it crashed it and rolled it all in one ride. We rode together several times after that and it just kept taking the abuse. Unbelievably durable machine..

    Family of riders here in the north fort worth area. We've got a garage full of machines and just picked up a new (to us) one that needs a little work, so I'm hoping to learn from you guys to get this thing goin!
