yes you are correct, its skid steer drive`, no brakes except an emerg/park brake (2 discs), when you let go of steer handles a brake band is applied inside the borg warner T-28 transmission.
steeering is twitchy when you get over 40 kph, i guess it does about 50 kph but you gotto stay on the steering (with both hands). same engines hotted up for racing do more like 60 mph , 750 cc twin kawasaki, carby or injected.
i got into waist deep mud on the beach, got out and revved slightly and rocked vehicle and it climbed out, incredible, other choice wait for high tide and float out, also no stress

yes engine in back means it is level when it floats unlike ARGOS with engine in front and they sit nose down
