  1. I'm looking to a reverse cable for a 2002 Honda forman 400 and can't find one for my year. Is there any other cable from a different year that will work? TIA

I assume it is carbureted and in that case; check the float adjustment, if its too high, adjust the tang on the float (if possible) related float valve/needle and seat,(you can attach a hose to the inlet and blow; when you lift the float to simulate fuel in the bowl the valve should close completely and be unable to blow thru the hose, and the float itself to inspect for cracks/shake it to identify if fuel is in one or both of the floats. Be sure to cut the fuel off via the petcock as unchecked fuel gravity fed to the engine WILL work its way into the crankcase and if it were ran for a significant period, possible detrimental damage could be done as gas saturated oil has terrible lubricating properties.

  2. I'm working on my 02 Honda forman 400 and I have the side case off. I'm trying to see a picture of how the clutch fork and clutch arm on the end of the shifter shaft line up and what direction to face the triangle bearing with the spring.TIA!!!
  3. It turned out to be the tip off the foot shifter shaft!! Thanks for the help guys!
  4. I need help identifying where this little part came from in my 02 Honda forman case. It looks like it's steel and broke off of something. It was having shift issues. Not sure if it's related or not. I will pay whoever can tell me where it came from.$$$$$$$$$$$

looks like a dowel pin, there seems to be hollow ones and solid ones, not sure where it would come out of. it looks a lot like the thing this guy is trying to remove in this video here

I figured it out it happened to break off the foot shit lever tip!! Should I open up the trans and inspect the shift fork and gears to see if something else cause it to break?

you said you were having issues with the transmission also? if that came off the shift lever maybe something hit it pretty hard, could have loosened something inside. If you are still having issues with the transmission it can't really hurt to inspect the insides make sure nothing else is damaged. I had an issue with my kingquad, it wasn't shifting into low and reverse was an issue sometimes, turned out to just be a sprocket that jumped a tooth, it was a simple fix.

  6. Im tearing down my 02 Honda forman 400 and came across this metal nipple that looks to have broke off of something. Ive searched and searched!! I can't figure out where it came from!! Was having shift issues but don't know if it's related or not.Any help would be greatly appreciated and I will pay $$ whoever can pinpoint where this came from.
