sounds like you have some cool toys I just picked up a 300ex free the motor is stuck but might get it freed up and get it running but anyways welcome

I did get the piston free but the jugs in bad shape it looks like it was over heated then parked, the rings are cruded to the piston I was checking out parts on eBay a 60 over jug and piston are less than $125 bucks

looking for a 96 Polaris magnum 425 complete engine with muffler system, close to Michigan or something bigger that would fit on the frame

I know nothing about this bike, I got it tore apart with the piston stuck in the jug, but it came with a used jug and a new piston and rings.

it's a 96 with 112 miles on it, well that is what the odometer says it's a 4x4 with real good plastics with nice tires my best bet though would 

be to find a new engine for it I think that I would have less money into it going that route, because I am not sure of the parts that I am missing now

I also have a magnum 4x4 that I am working on it is getting a new piston, In the tear down I pulled off the flywheel

and found that all the magnets are not attached? why does this happen? there all in good shape so is it possible

to reattach them to the flywheel? I can buy a different flywheel, but it looks like around $300 or more and one of them on Ebay

looks like the spacing is off a little so it may have the same issue.

the stator looks good also 

it was free and when he gets it to run then trade it for something else

thanks for the reply I don't know much about 2 strokes the ones I owned back in the day I just mixed the fuel

ok took it all apart split the case and guess what issues I found...... nothing everything looks good I even bought used transmission parts

to replace any broken parts.

Now the question before I put it back together is there a certain place the gears should be? Or do i put it back together and after everything is back on It will know

what gear it should be in (I can't really explain what I want to say).

Last thing I can't seem to find a case gasket for it so what do you use for the cases?

yes the calipers can freeze up and make the brakes stick, i am working on a 95 Polaris 250 with no brakes all the calipers are stuck

I have an issue with shifting this atv,

It shifts great 1st,2nd, 3rd if you're not getting on it goes into 4th but slips into 5th when you give more throttle but if you're getting on it just skips 4th and goes into 5th gear. would this be a shift fork issue?

just picked this one up and was wondering how you know for sure the the 2-stroke oil is going into the motor? I don't want to blow this thing up; I know I can unhook up the parts and just mix it myself but that's another can sitting around

I can't seem to be able to bring up your pics, but my 185 bayou had a smashed bumper I cut off the round tubes a welded in 1/2 by 1/2 square tubing I think it looks good

I get a lot of my parts from eBay and Facebook most of the atv yards here around Michigan sells their parts on Facebook marketplace

Just picked up this thing for the wife but she doesn't care for the purple, so I am going to paint the purple parts sea something (teal) does anyone know where I can get a seat in teal?

I own a few older quads mix of kinds a couple of  Yamahas, a Honda, can-am  a Kawasaki, they are older quads but in good shape the question of the day is....... what's the best way to polish up the plastic?

 I have found that Dollar General mold remover is good to get the black stuff off the plastic works good, but was wondering how you polish up the plastics on yours.

that's cool I did that with my son years ago we rebuilt a 200x 3 wheeler and what fun we had restoring it together

I am also redoing a 185 bayou for my wife now

just picked up a 92 grey moto4 350 runs great, but has major shifting issues, I believe it shifts into 3rd gear and 5th gear, but if you shift all the way to 5th gear first then back down to first then first gear might work but then nothing for second then 3rd will catch.

So do you feel this is a clutch issue or is the trans pretty much shot, I figured if I have to tear into the trans then just rebuild the motor this winter, but if it's just clutch parts repair it now and have fun with it.

found out what year mine is because its grey so i guess this makes it a 92

I just picked up a moto4 I also have no idea what the year is they say the vin is on the frame left side by the foot peg, cant find mine but yours might be there, but I am getting ready to pull the plastics, so maybe there is something i can do to help you when i do
