  1. Hello from Romania! Can't believe this topic is from 2009 .... didn't see it till now. I don't own a quad till now... just love to fix them ๐Ÿ˜ and fund a lot of help here, great people here from allover the world ๐ŸŒŽ๐ŸŒ.
  2. I'm glad I could help!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰ Sorry for blurry video... camera was dirty! VID-20230422-WA0005.mp4
  3. If I don't find anything...and the engine is running great...try to ad some wings....if is flying the wheel is not gonna bother you,, ,๐Ÿคช
  4. Mech I thought the same thing, but if you search on the internet you find countless pictures of this type of cylinder head and doesn't seem to be anything missing from there https://www.motorkit.com/en/spare-parts-yx125-140cc-/23933-cylinder-head-for-yx-and-lifan-engines-125cc-with-27-and-23mm-valve.html
  5. I've never seen anything like this before either, but I don't see that mechanism having any other role than to prevent the camshaft from rotating in the opposite direction...this is to prevent the timing from shifting...
  6. https://pitbike.pt/en/engines/1290-lifan-125cc-manual-clutch-n1234-kickstarter-e-starter-3701225415453.html And I believe this is the engine...or a clone
  7. I didn't see something like this...I believe is something to prevent the camshaft from rotating in the opposite direction... with the one way bearing...or something is missing from there to be a decomposition mecanism
  8. can you post a picture of the carburetor? Does it have an automatic or mechanical choke?
  9. Hi, Sorry for asking (I'm struggling to understand some of your expressions, unfortunately I didn't learn english in school). What do you mean when you say that is turn over only when you put your hand over intake...is it starting only that way? Or is not starting at all?
  10. Is the electrical installation accessible now? or do you have to fit other parts to gain access? did you see on my grizzly post I found somewhere under the tank 4 cables that were broken.....(I have never had a Big Bear before and I don't know how different it is from a grizzly) you can search...or are there more the possibility of a main contact being oxidized...and when you measure with a multimeter you have continuity and power, but when you check with a light bulb it doesn't light up because of oxide
  11. For sure something minor.... No power... it's easy...start from battery and follow the power
  12. Good luck with that! I'm sure it will be a good job in the end!
  13. I'm happy for you Gwbarm! I'm glad that we managed to find out the problem! Cheers!
  14. speaking of old age Mech..a grandfather was talking to his grandson and said to him...do you know when you realize you're old? ... When you see a pair of beautiful boobs and you are only thinking that you forgot to buy milk for breakfast!๐Ÿคช
  15. Did you forget that last week I had one exactly the same?....only it was grizzly....and that one can be mounted in wrong position...we are human and we make mistakes....I'm glad I was able to help you! Gwbarm send us a video with the engine running!๐Ÿ˜‰
  16. in 20 years of mechanics I have yet to come across gaskets that need adjustments/modifications to fit...(except Chinese chainsaws)
  17. sure it's the sensor upside down, if you look closely at the gasket you can see it is cut out so it can be fitted, which means the pickup sensor is fitted wrong
  18. Yes is ok, At grizzly the magnet from the flywheel is on the exterior side
  19. Morning from Romania again! are you sure the sensor is in the right position? surely it shouldn't be put the other way around? I made a drawing on the picture.
  20. You know Mech, everyone is trying to fix their problems with small amount of money...and is understandable.... but sometimes they don't understand that probably at the end they spend more that they thought of..... I'm glad I managed to find the problem... I'm pretty sure that the wire harness was the main problem....the pickup sensor was wrong fitted by the other guys. Thanks everyone for support! Greetings from Romรขnia!
  21. Mech thanks for support! I managed to find out the problem.... Grizzly arrived at me from another garage with no spark problem, the people where it was changed the stator and the sensor, the induction coil and the CDI...all new...I found the faulty wiring (you can see in the pictures above ) which I fixed...today I took the stator down again and found the receiver sensor mounted wrong...now it works perfectly. Thank you for your support! and as a bonus you can see in the video what surprise I found behind the flywheel VID-20230316-WA0000.mp4
  22. Thanks Gwbarm Appreciate your help! I will check everything again tomorrow morning ๐Ÿ‘
  23. Thanks Tiha, I have the wiring diagram but today is already late, I will do that tomorrow... But I don't know exactly if the CDI have a connection directly from battery, I've checked today the voltage at all the wires that r connected to CDI and didn't get anything....and don't know exactly witch wire need to be with 12V....on the diagram that I have can't read very well what's written...is pdf and when I'm maximizing is blurry. Thanks for your help!
  24. Unfortunately not fixed the problem, rewired everything and still no spark.... Don't know exactly where too look for....
