142-199 psi or (1,000-1,400 kPa) is the “normal compression” range. 114 psi or (800 kPa) is the minimum compression required to technically run the motor at all, & anything below that requires servicing. 170 psi or (1,170 kPa) with proper valve clearance is the sweet spot. Source: Repair manual, pg. 10, “tune-up specifications”. Hope this helps someone.
