It is a 350 two stroke. I herd that it could be the main seals. is this possible? Doesent it suck the gas into the base then into the combustion chamber?

I have a 93 polaris trail boss 350. It will not start. I have removed the carb. and found out that i have no suction into the motor. I removed the spark plug and have lots of compreshion there. If i dump a little gas into the plug hole it will run for a few seconds then shut off. If i dump gas into the carb it will not do any thing. Any one have any ideas?
