I have a squeel on the front end of my Rancher. Sounds like it may be coming from where the input shaft goes into the back of the front differantial but I cant be too sure.
Any suggestions guys?

I say quad thieves should get the death penalty or life in prison. Although im a Grizzly rider now i have alot lot of great memories of riding Hondas
Yea luckily I have theft insurance on all of my quads. Its called shotgun.

i feel the same way. i loved all my hondas i have owned, and would never hesitate getting another one !!
They dont die. We put that bike through hell and back and it ran like a dream all the way up until it was stolen in 2003.

In 1985 my dad bought our first 4-wheeler off the showroom floor in West Virginia. It was an '85 Honda Fourtrax 250. My Uncle drove Suzuki Quadrunners which were (to be honest) great bikes as well! So we were all constantly testing each other to see whos was better.
Lemmie tell you something...that Honda was in no other ways to describe it....BULLETPROOF! It never needed any major repairs, it survived mudholes that todays 4-wheel drives have trouble with and it had a front end that weighed as much as a tank. The only repair we ever made to it was that the muffler had fallen off due to rust. It was kept at my grandfathers place in WV and at one point it went completely untouched for years. Going back up there we expected at the very least...a dead battery. It fired up without breaking a sweat.
No ATV on earth comes close to Honda quality. They truely are built to last and even though I enjoy riding Suzuki's and others as well...there will always be a Honda in my garage. Because when I take it out on the trail, I am guarenteed its gonna get me back home.

I think you would be alright with that size. Its got a bit more size on the chassis than most midship ATV's out there. My advice to you is if you have a dealer around you (Petes Cycle), try sitting on a few differant models and determine which size comforts you.

Cool Thanks.
I have so many toys not being used around the house I was able to snatch this in a trade. Brakes are shot and the elecrical seems haywire. But it runs and it sh*** and gets.

Hey guys, I just got a '97 Scrambler 400 4x4 as a side project to work on through winter. I was wondering if anyone here could give me any great advice as to where I can get parts or even a service manual for this bike. Ive been told these are not too easy to come by.
Also Im very much used to working on Honda's so if there is anything crucial I should know about these before tackling it I would greatly appreciate the advice.

Hey everyone. Im new here to yur forum from Joppa, Maryland. Been riding since I was 5, so about 20 years. Dad bought a Honda Fourtrax 250 brand new in 1985 and we've been hooked ever since, along with almost everyone in my family. Been through a few quads growing up from Suzuki Quadrunners to Honda Fourtrax's to Honda 400EXs to my now new 2012 Honda Rancher 420. Most of my riding took place in the mountains of West Virginia and could never get enough. Hope to hear from some of ya!
