hey oxidized i sort of fixed it i took a milk jug and cut a piece and folded it and stuck it between the float and the needle and it worked to my amazement this thing screams to the point i actually put my helmet on i also took off the crazy front end thing the guy put on and it looks like a race cart again just with a big old honking atv motor on it and the reverse is sweet as well i will put p a pic of it and maybe a video i know its not a atv but its cool as hell

ok thanks yeah i called a place and the needle is $30 but i didnt ask for a kit i will call back and see

ok checked it out looks ok but would that be the reason it just overflows everywhere? and how much is that needle ?

dont see one but im pretty sure its a 91 trx 200 from looking at pics it looks exactly like what i got now im just confused i turn on the gas and it comes right out the bottom of the float

ok i looked but it dosent look like the right carb or motor here is a pic of the front end of the old atv ok so after looking on google its a 1991 honda trx200 fourtrax

i have a racing go cart that i just got and it has a 250 honda motor on it no clue what model bt its a semi auto 5spd with reverse and when i turn the gas on it juust pores out of the carb from every hose and out the intake im really lost i took off the bottom to make sure float wasnt stuck pt back togethere and it still leaks out i will post up a pic maybe someone can help me figure this out

the kid who owns it was riding it and it just cut off i checked the coil wire and it fell apart in my hand lol he thinks it was either the ign mod or the coil i was thinking the coil and plug plus it felt like the plug didnt seat properly in the rubber boot for the coil

is there anyway of bypassing ignition modual to start it up ho do i tell if its bad and how do i tell if the coil is shot I might pick this up for my go cart/mini buggy project because it has reverse and i can use the rear axle and front suspension for it please let me know if anyone has any ideas thanks

thats why i think the manual was off by some on some stuff

im pretty sure its a big bear i just checked the parts again and it was alot cheaper by about $60

ok so i found out its a 2001 but dont know the model

i have the vin dont know if its right but its 5y4aho6y11a01177a some one told me look 8 digits from thr back and its either a 0 or 1

well i blew it up i guess changed the oil and then all it did was smoke like crazy lol rings and piston are shot after it stopped smoking ran great for two days and then just died so tore it down and looking to get a piston and ring set dealer has one for about $210

yeah its about a couple of teaspoons so im figureing the rings are worn out as well but it def made a huge difference in performance im going to get a feeler gage today to set it right thanks again

yeah i found it its on top well i checked the timing and it seems fine so i went to adjust the valves but i dont have a feeler gage but both intake and exhaust valves were really loose so i just measured it by hand or feel should i say and it seemed to work great i will adjust them again when i get the right tool lol i doesnt smoke anymore but sill knocks just not as bad and over all it runs better than when i first go it before it started knocking and smoking

ok i just checked my air box cover and it says engine family is YYMXX.387GCB AND NOT TO MENTION I FOUND SOME OIL IN THE BOX AS WELL IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS PLEASE LET ME KNOW THANKS STILL CONFUSED

where do i look to find what year this quad is ??? maybe its not a 2000 idk im just lost with this thing

i took off the pull starter and looked for the timing plug so i can adjust my vales and there is no spot like that what do i do its a semi auto 5spd full time 4x4

hope so will try in the am plus i live about a mile away from a mud bog racing place and want to def check it out until then i made a lil play area in my parents back property its got 2 mud pits one is about 3-4 ft deep and the other is about 2-3 ft for the kids and about 4 jumps
