Thanks, will call Monday before I carry it back to them. When I called my dealer yesterday, they said bring it back but tried to explain again the popping was normal.
I had a 04 Suzuki Twin Peaks(made by Kawasaki) that never did that.Am going to call Kawasaki Monday.Does anyone know the number to call to make sure I have the right one?(949-460-5688)Mechanic told me that was normal for Kawasaki to spit back through carb at certain RPM.
The mechanic told me all Kawasaki Prairies do that.If so,how does Kawasaki sell these Prairies?
I just think after paying $950 to someone it should run right.I trail ride & hunt,& my normal throttle is 1/4-1/2 & thats where the problem is.
Have a 2002 Kawasaki 650 Prairie.Have just had carbs rebuilt($950 bill) & it still pops back through carbs.Mostly at 1/4-1/2 throttle. What can I tell mechanic to do when I take it back?(A Kawasaki dealer mechanic)
Took out secondary & took apart.Had 2 shims(a thick&athin).Took out the thin & re-installed secondary.Still squealled.Took out secondary, pulled apart & took out thick&re-installed thin.Re-installed secondary.STILL squeals @ takeoff but not as bad.Left that way because didnt know if I should take out both shims.
I have a 2002 Kawasaki 650 Prairie. When I first take off I have a belt squeal in the front pulley.Have gone inside pulleys with medium sandpaper but still have squeal.Installed new belt & still have squeal.
Any suggestions?Would like to fix without spending $$$ on new parts.
Have a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 660 4x4 ATV.The problem is I cant get shifter to go in park.Had lost the mounting bolts to the shifter but still could get in park.Replaced bolts & now cant.
