I have a 2003 trx 350 fourtrax thats not charging .I replaced the rectifier last yr and want to know how I can test it or the stator with a multimeter? I tried to download the manual here but the link must be dead cause I can't get anywhere with it. Try reading ACV on the 200 scale. Dont know a bunch about your Honda but Harley which have a rotor-stator system will produce about 28 volts at a fast idle. As the RPM goes up so will voltage. Measure each combination using two of the three wires coming from the stator

First , with your meter set to DC and on 20v range like you have it in the pic, read the voltage across your battery.

second, start your atv and read across the battery while its idling. you should read 12v without it running and 14v with it running.

I have a 2005 Fourtrax. It wouldn't shift and the display was blinking three times so I replaced the angle sensor. It initially worked, but now the display is blinking eight times. I did not reset the computer after replacing the angle sensor. Do you think I need a new control motor? Anyone else have this issue after replacing the angle sensor? This is a great site. Thanks

I installed a new stator due to spark problems. I re-assembled the minimum just to start it. Fired right up. However it would not shift, probably assembly error. I am attaching two pics, one is the crankcase left side and the other is the crankcase cover where the stator is mounter. I the cover pic I am pointing at a fork type part with two fingers. How should that be oriented for reassembly?? If you can see something else wrong in the photos let me know. Or could it be where the shifter rod goes thru the crankcase cover, the rod might of gone thru the case hole crooked?? For a quicker response email at byter1 at gmail.com

      Evening everyone
With my friends, I'm building a one-person track-day car that is powered by an LTR450. One of the problems we're encountering is the lack of amperage created by the charging system.
Are there any stators that can swap into the LTR450 case to up the amperage? Are there any other methods to up the amperage? Weight is a huge consideration in this, so we can't really run a larger battery.
      Thanks
