Hello folks, I have a yamaha timberwolf 250 motor I'm putting into a tri moto 200 frame and need some help with the wiring for it. The wiring harness I got with the motor has been damaged and missing a small section so my issue is that I have 3 white wires coming from the stator assembly which connect into another 3 white wires on the voltage regulator. My question is does it matter which of those white wires go connected together or are each of the white wires different and need to be connected to the appropriate wire on the voltage regulator. Any advice or help is appreciated. Thanks.
My 98 grizzly needs a cdi and I refuse to pay $200 for a used one. Will the cdi unit for CDI Box For Yamaha Kodiak 400 YFM400 2001 2002 Warrior 350 YFM350X 1997-2001 work on a 98 grizzly ?
I'm having a problem getting a CDI unit that works. The parts list calls for a 4XE-85540-00-00 CDI unit. The one currently on the ATV works but there seems to be a problem with the spark advance curve. It will idle fine an rev. to about 1.5K then starts bogging down sputtering, popping and basically running poorly. If you can get it above 2200 RPM it runs better. I have ordered and returned about 5 replacement modules that will not work at all. The unit currently on the bike has no part numbers or identification other than a Mitisibuchi logo. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problems with replacement CDI's and if so what is the fix? So far I have not found a replacement CDI that will supply an pulse to the Ignition coil.

I have worked about 4 weeks on my Griz600 and have burnt 2 CDIs up ! I added a wire harness and stator and It starts but runs erratically like spark timing is off ! So I would like to try another CDI but I don’t want to Pay an arm n leg ! Anybody have one ? Thanks
Breaking in a 2021 420 rancher with manual shift. Has like 7km on it toal. The first thing I noticed when trying to shift to reverse from N when the engine is still cold is tough. I also have a hell of a time going from R to N. After I get it into first gear and start riding it around going up and down the gears are no problem, and going back into N and R when its warm seems fine as well.
Do I just have to keep breaking it in and eventually it will smooth out?
Also downshifting seems to skid the rear tires, kind of like its not rev matched properly and the engine breaking is dragging the tire for a quick second, is this ok?
Just thought I'd start a new thread for newbies to the site!
If you're new here, tell us who you are, where you're from and what you ride!!!
Lets get to know each other a little better shall we?
I'm not new to the site, obviously, but...
I'm Kristin from Denver!!! I ride a 2008 Yamaha Rhino. She's my muddy baby!!!!!! Several aftermarket parts on her. She's good to me! We try and ride every weekend. This weekend we're off to MOAB! :woot:
What battery type is best wet cell, agm or lithium? Who makes the most reliable battery for atv's? I need to replace a battery on my qtv. It had a wet cell lead acid. What doe you recomend for a replacement battery that is not a fortune and that is reliable?
