ok, I tried everything I can think off. I was out riding yesterday and it died down like it ran out of gas. I bought it a couple weeks ago had a brand new carb put on. the E brake is already eliminated. when I rev it up it just sits there and sputters. if I pull the choke out just a little will rev up a little more. I pulled the carb off cleaned all the jets with carb cleaner used a allen key too go down into the jets just to make sure. made sure the flow of gas was good. made sure the gas line was good. and when I fire it up starts right up idles fine but full throttle just sputters. you can ease into the gas and it will rev up just a little and continues to sputter. I'm stumped. it is completely stock bike. there is nothing you can see I'm the carb that could be a possibly problem. thing looks brand new inside and out. I did everything that the forums said online. with similar problems. the old owner did say he never jetted the new carb. but I don't know much about that.

I also ran it with the air box off it didn't change nothing.

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.
