When you say it died, did the battery die because you mentioned you needed to charge it. Maybe it's not charging. Or just wont start back up because of no spark again.

Yeah it just died like I got no spark out of it so I replace the spark plug the plug wire in the coil there and I charge the battery hell I even hooked it up to jumper cables it turned over and started up ran great shut it down next day started it back up got halfway down the road and it died no again Spark. I recharge the battery and still nothing I don't know what to do I don't understand I would think if it was the pickup coil where the stator or the CDI it would die and not start back up again but it didn't start it it ran great and then shut down

I replaced ignition, coil and wire, starter silonoid, still no spark. I've cleaned stator, when I turn kill switch off it still turns over??? Not sure but I dont think that's supposed to happen .

But would that cause no spark?

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

I'm in the middle of repairing damage from the chain coming off of this from the previous owner. (I learned this is somewhat common on these for various reasons.)
What are you guys using to either help keep the chain correct and on the sprocket or guarding your engine in the case that it comes off / breaks?
Is there an upgraded guard that can bolt around the sprocket in replacement of the currently broken OEM alluminum?

Just some friendly advice on new tires. Check with your ATV dealer.
There are so many aftermarket sites, Revco, Royal Distributing, Partzilla, and on and on. Even with their “ big sales”, my local Canam dealer’s REGULAR price beat the tire prices of the 3rd party sellers! People often assume the Dealership will cost them more, but I found this not to be true!

My 1992 TRX00 recently stopped firing.  I understand this is a common problem. I have ordered an aftermarket CDI unit.    TJ

Hey everyone, I just scooped up a couple ymf225 quads. One runs but has a noise coming from the rear end, the other is an 87 that is apart but I have everything for. Can anyone tell me if these 225cc models came with a kick start or pull starter? I find conflicting info online.
