Hi looking for any advice on a Apache Rlx 250 cc 2004 road legal Quad I have bought one mint condition will not pass mot due to no hand brake fitted on the quad cam I get one fitted and any idea how much please

Hello yes apparently it’s a Chinese make  it’s very similar to this one , the problem I am having is I bought it a couple of years ago with a current Itv left in garage until this year cleaned it up and it works great went to the itv station yesterday they would not pass it because they say there is no hand brake on it and I need to have a separate hand brake fitted , so I went to two large quad distributors here in San Javier and was told it has a hand break and it is working fine they say there is no way to add anther brake system to the quad can you advise please

So this quad has a clutch? Existing hand brake is on the right side and clutch on the left? There is no way to add an aftermarket hand brake system. The hand brake engages the brakes via cable on most Chinese quads. The way it came from the factory is the way it is. I'm assuming your ITV station is some sort of inspection station? Can you take a picture of your quad and post it so we can see the hand brake setup and overall handle bars?

Yes but the Spanish Itv laws say it’s inadiuate and will not pass Itv it’s frustrating I’m stuck with a perfectly good quad that cannot be classed as road legal when it’s been allowed since new 2004

      Hi everyone and thanks for reading. 
      My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on. 
      We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best. 
      Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread.

      BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.

      Hi all, 

      I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

      Hi guys, I was given a 2000 Honda Recon fourtrax 250 (I think that's the full name lol). The previous owner had it sitting for a while before I got it. It sat for another few years in my ownership. I got it up and going on its first test drive today!! I was wondering where everyone buys their parts from?  Coming from the car community, we have sites like RockAuto and many more. Anything like that for quads? Also would like to be pointed in a direction, if possible, for plastics. I am missing a few and would like to have it complete. I appreciate any input!
