kazuma jaquar 500 speedometer

I picked this up last year. most likely it had been stolen before or was treated very badly. gas cap had been beaten off, screwdriver in ignition sw. black spray paint covered everything. lots of wiring cut,missing. once I was able to rig wiring to determine it would run, and it does run great and starts up great. then I started repairing. wiring schematics or service manuals are not to be found. thanks to verienda for his own hand drawn diagram it gave me a good start. I used the original light sw but added a relay for headlights as all I could get were parking lights. the 4wd does not work as there must be one or two control boxes missing. I have the handle bar sw but nothing to plug that cable into. 4wd would be nice but not required. all gauges and lights work on the display except the speedometer. I would like to get it working. I assumed it worked off a sensor on one of the wheels but none of them have a sensor or a spot where one should be. does anyone know where this sensor is located?

Its hard as hell to find manuals for these things.  Its a shame someone abused that quad like that.  They are good machines when taken care of.
