    • Ahhh and hence the name @mikeexplorer!! Cool page of artifacts, i like the long shackle. The people that handled it are long gone and if that or half of the things you found could talk!  Great stuff there.
    • Its going to turn out great. I get the same way when I'm out of bikes! Its like a drug.
    • Yes I agree on a little high, but needed something to work on as I am out of vehicles.  Have done about 9 of these things and always turn a great profit.  More of a hobby as I enjoy bringing them back to life, a challenge and some times a pain but over all  keeps me out of trouble.  Will see how it turns out. • Lost Trails is practically my back yard so I know the area well. All my machines are good to go, in the spring is when I do the most maintenance work on them to get them ready for riding season.  Some artifacts I found in the area I posted on my website here: https://www.nepaview.com/pcc-artifacts.html Last year, I donated two sections of strap rail to Steamtown National Historic Site for them to put on display.   Mike
    • Maintenance Maintenance Maintenance! When you buy used, change or have the fluids changed before anything else. Research what your machine uses and how often fluids should be changed, then make sure to use specified fluids for your particular machine.  Keep a detailed record of your service, if there are grease zerks make a habit of greasing them.  I try to do that after every 3 rides or so, change all fluids at the end of the riding season so they are ready to go before I take them out in the spring.  Take care of them and they will take care of you.
