  5. I've changed my stator and pick up coil. I've verified new stator specs are correct and I have a good ground at the cdi. Also verified continuity from all stator wired to cdi and rectifier which is also new. I have a source voltage but no trigger voltage. It's a 2005 Arctic Cat 500 Suzuki Vinson motor. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I've spent about 2 weeks troubleshooting this and can't seem to find this exact scenario on any forum. Tjanx again for any input!
  6. Hi All, I live in Minnesota and bought a 2016 CFORCE 500 HO. I am in hope to see if there is anyone in the US that is experiencing this sudden drop off in RPM below 4000 RPM. I have uploaded some videos of my issue on YouTube. I will list three of the four I posted. The fourth can be found on my channel but it is a comparison between my Polaris 570 and my CFORCE 500. I quit on my first dealer because we just did not mix well together. I brought it to another CFMOTO dealer that just became a CFMOTO dealer in January 2016. They are in a large ranch and agriculture area in a neighboring state that is pretty close to where I live. They have close to every brand available. They are a much larger dealer than the first one I bought the unit from. I brought the unit three weeks ago to them and they have worked on it a good solid week and have given up on it. I have read reports from owners in Canada that the dealers there were aware of the issue and have had success in fixing the herky jerky drivability issue. I am picking it up tomorrow and bringing it back home. It has been to the trails of the Black Hills this year and was new in late April. 300 miles on it. It has never changed. Very hard to ride on the trails or when I herd livestock. Here are the links to my videos. I can't accept that this is normal operation. Does anyone from CFMOTO China scan these posts?   7. Hi All, Has anyone found engine oil in their air filter box. The must be little or no baffle between crankcase ventilation and that hose that attaches to the air filter box. I went to pick up my ATV today 60 miles away that they could not fix the jerky low speeds on and before I loaded it decided to check on this. Sure enough there was a good coating of oil with some pooling in the bottom of the air filter box. The air filter has oil on it too but is it a dry element or oiled element type. My guess from the color of it dry. I heard on a comment on my YT videos that there is a kit for this issue? Is this a CFMOTO fix? Thanks Kevin
  8. Where is the best place for a new camshaft for a 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 RSE? I figured some of the quad owners on this forum have probably bought them before as this is a common problem on the Polaris 500. My exhaust cam lobe is almost completely wore down and the thing hardly will even get up an go. I like other's opinions rather than just "buying on the fly". If any of you guys have a good suggestion I'd be interested in getting a good one at a fair price. 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 Remington Steele Edition

    Vinson 500 Timing

    Hi, does anyone know where to find the timing marks on the camshaft and how to orient them? I found the line on the crank and lined it up with the arrow on the case, but the only marks I can see on the cam are on the very end where the black plastic cap is. Are these the timing marks and if so how do you line them up?
  11. I have a 97" polaris sportsman 500 and the 4 wheel drive wont work, it just didnt work one day. I dont know when or why it went out. It has a 4 wheel drive button on the handle bars and it is on and i have turned it on and off but no go............ any thoughts or ideas, please help. I need it for sat. i will never get out on this small lake for ice fishing with out my wheeler, thanks in advance jamie.
  12. Like the title says it dies when turning left and it seems that all power quits as the headlight also go out. It belongs to my father in law he started it and it idles fine. Turn the handle bar to the left and all the power goes out. Turning right it's fine. Battery connections are fine but it was getting dark and hard to see. The year I am unsure of but maybe 2007. I will get a chance to see it in the daylight soon and check the wiring but any heads up from someone who has had this happen would be helpfull. Thanks

    2003 500 tbx, Acts like clutches are slipping. Belt i nice and tight, belt clutches look good. Internal clutches maybe? Also does anybody have a service manual for this bike?
  14. I have a polaris sportsman 500 efi ho 2008-09 model and I cannot get power to anything. The volts are good on my battery. If I take the ground off of the frame and screw it back on I can get power to the pod but when I try to crank it I lose power to everything. It has a new solenoid and a new starter. Anyone have any ideas?? If it helps give any ideas I drive through mud and water so it does get put through a lot.

    Suzuki Quadmaster 500

    My Quadmaster runs great on level ground and downhill. The other day we were going up a slight upgrade and it backfired and lost power going uphill. My neighbor says it needs a new spark plug. thoughts? I bought a new spark plug, however, I cant find where the spark plug is. Obviously Im not a mechanic! I looked everywhere without taking parts off. Can someone please tell me where the spark plug is? Very much appreciated!
  16. I have a 1997 polaris I'm trying to fix for a Friend. The bike runs great but when you engage the awd the motor bogs down and won't hardly run. Once you disengage awd everything works good again. Any ideas?

  18. Ok everyone, I've been rebuilding the top end of my vinson 500 and here is my problem. After replacing all the gaskets and getting my timing set I was all set to place the head on when I realized I had left one of the two small sleeves that position the cylinder head on the base. To go back and put it in would require another complete tear down. This is one of those round cylindrical tubes that the jug sits on. All bolts are in along with Indian head gasket shellac on both sides of the gasket, my question is what might it hurt if I don't put it back in? Honestly I can't see where it will matter and setting the timing on this machine is a real bitch. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I want to upgrade, not sure what size tires will fit and do I need wheel spacers and lift kit? What performance mods do I need to do for the larger tires or don't need to ? Like the Maxxis Vipr tires. Maxxis Vipr front 27x9R-14 Maxxis Vipr Rear 27x11R-14 What size wheel will work? offset? Stock 25x10-12 Rears and 25x8-12 Fronts Stick with 12 inch wheels and get taller tires? Thanks,

Was driving in mud playin around heard fan come on obce then didnt hear it come on anymore drove up to house and it stalled , now i can start it and starts real easy but once warm it dies even if i turn up idle , i was threw alot of mud and water , was wondering if the fan not coming on will trigger a sensor or something and cause this , starts great runs ok till its warm then dies or screws around when i keep it running ....

  22. Hi. I recently had to replace the diaphragm on my QM 500, so I decided to add a sigma 6 jet kit. I basically replaces the main jet with a 135 (was 130) and moved the clip on the needle down one space (as per their directions) towards the RICH direction. Now that I have it reinstalled it starts great, idles great but if you try and give it any throttle it sputters, pops and looses all power. With the choke on it will accept throttle. This implies to me that I am running LEAN, which seems strange as I moved the needle towards rich and put a bigger jet in? I have checked the rubber connections on either side of the carb, the carb has been out and it is CLEAN. So any thoughts other then just "clean the carb". Thanks Chris
  23. I jus got a 04 polaris scambler. The guy ensured the 4x4 works but he had the chain slid off and zip tied to the frame for the 4x4. Well i took the chain off cause it looks rough and was in the way. However before i replace the 4x4 chain, i engauged the 4x4 to see if the sprocket would even turn. And it did. The problem is i hit the 4x4 awd button again to turn it off and the sprocket is still turning for the awd, is there a specific way to disengauge the awd 4x4? Also the main drive chain and the other chain are rather loose, they are just tight enough for it not to come off, is this average? Should it be tighter it seems or do they run them like that. Another thing i have a problem w is the read brakes, aka right foot brake. The guy took the caliper off and everything is has no rear brakes. I need to buy all of that, what exactly all do i need, theres jus a rotor there. And any diagram for installation?
