I have a 99 Yamaha bear tracker and I have converted the front brakes from drum to disc fairly easy but I cant figure out how to convert the rear with out hacking apart the rear arm. tried to use parts from a wolverine since the rear arms look similar but the caliper mount didn't line up on the bear tracker axle. Can anyone give me any clues or has anyone successfully converted the bear tracker rear brakes. I would even purchase a conversion kit if there is one. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys, this Quadmaster has an extremely loud bang after turning key off (from idle), scares the stock, dog and missus, any ideas on what to check.
Thanks and regards,
Brian

So, here's the deal, older (93?) Kodiak. Little use. Colder climate. In the mountains. The brakes have always sucked. Have to keep ft and rear locked up on hills, to keep from rolling, while weed spraying. Looking for the highest friction brake shoes(yes, shoes ft and rear on these old ones). Seems is too old, the racer stuff, nobody makes any. Organics and ceramic are about worthless, as brakes never get hot/warm.
Any ideas? I just now ordered the basic DP sintered shoes, looks like my best bet, for what is available. Ones on now are cheapo ebay crap, work about the same as factory ones.

I’m looking for a top end kit for a Yamaha. I would like to see how well the engine runs before spending $6-$7 hundred on oem. Niche has complete kits from $1-$2 hundred. Anyone have experience with Niche or similar Chinese companies?
