1999 350 big bear ran with old carb on it but it leaked and most of the screws on it r stripped from having it spart so much i bought a new carb everything was the same installing it and now it won't start, any ideas

Hey Chad welcome to Quadcrazy.
Is the new carburetor an OEM or a Chinese carburetor?
If the old carburetor was leaking it was most likely a bad float seal, or float adjustment.
Maybe you can use all the screws from the new carburetor, make the adjustment on the float or use the float and needle from the new carburetor as well and see how it goes.

Thanks frank, i can't get some of the parts out inside of the old carb out the new one is a jay lure carb looks the same as the makuni thats on it nothing different, checked the adjustments its all factory settings but put the old carb on it and runs its a high performance carb does that change anything

No it should not change anything. Thats a decent carburetor though. Have you checked that fuel flow to make sure its getting to and through the carb ? Maybe something is inside the bowl holding the float up.  Put a clean piece of hose on the carb and blow into it.  There should be air flow. If not then there's a problem.
There could be a minor defect in the carb as well and you may have to open it up and have a look.  Maybe it was not assembled properly.

Ok good. Just keep one thing in mind, if your swapping carburetors and it runs with one and not the other then its most likely a fuel problem.  I bet it's something minor on the new carburetor.
Also on a side note make sure you don't discard the old carb. You can get a rebuild kit and the new screws for about $40.  The old carburetors are like gold.

Hi guys, I have a 2004 big bear 400. Last winter while plowing the driveway, I heard a loud pop from the left side of the engine. It continued to run as I looked for leaky fluid, but then died shortly after backing it up and won’t start now. The oil light comes on when I try to start it, no noise or anything else.
No blown fuses that I can find.
