Hi folks, I recently purchased I believe an 02 Kodiak 4 x 4 it was stored outside, put a new battery in it still nothing kept playing around with the shifter suddenly the neutral light came on and it cranked right over no problem few days later same issue this time I can’t get the light to come on anything common I should be looking for ?

They aren't meant to start in gear, so the problem is in the gear change adjustment or the neutral light switch, which I think will be on the engine/gearbox, or possibly on the change lever.  Does it have a reverse light, and does the reverse light come on when it's in reverse? If the reverse light isn't coming on in reverse then it's real likely the adjustment.

It won't be the starter motor.

Get a manual  off here or somewhere online, check the position of the shifter is adjusted right , then look for the neutral/reverse switch, which could be two separate switches. The switches on most bikes are easy to get at and out if need be if they are in the gearbox.

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

      hi everybody

I have a kymco mxu 250 automatic from 2006 250 cc  that keeps going forwards or backwards when i shift backwards or forwards an then shift to neutral .
if i shutdown the motor and push the quad and restart then its in neutral and don't go forwards or backwards, i already checkt if my motor is running good stationairy .

what can it be or what can i do to fix this?
      thanx in advance
p.s. Sorry for my bad english it's not my first language.

Hisun 700 EFI. Replaced TMAP sensor had broken off . Fuel pump pressure 41psi. The only way I can keep it running (and runs fine) is to close off fuel return line.
