So I was thinking of getting a bike. Im not getting rid of my quad, I just want to learn how to ride both. Anyone have a bike and if so what do you recommend? My husband has a 2002 yamaha 426. I rode that the other day but I have a hard time reaching the ground. I went to turn around on it and it stalled on me, I fell over and it landed on my leg. I had to wait for my husband to come and get it off me. I dont know if I just need to LEARN to ride something that size or if I need something smaller. Any ideas?

I rode a Yamaha 80 a few times, but it wasn't fun, too many things to remember! (it was my 1st time on anything I had to shift gears on that wasn't a car) so I'm sticking with 4 wheels now... :o

lol The shifting gears isnt bad. You get use to it. :D

I am about the same height as you. my brother had a Honda XL350 that he let me drive and I found that it wasn't to big for me and my feet could touch the ground. hope this helps:)

Maybe its just that im so use to something with four wheels. His bike might have been set up a little different too. My husband is kind of a big man so his suspension might be a little stiffer. We just recently bought a vehicle so we havent really been looking for a bike for me but I will start again in a few months.

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

Can anyone provide information on connecting a hitch to a Polaris. Anyone know where they sell small trailers for my quad.
