I have a 1985 Moto 4  that I am not finding any info about.  The ID on the frame is JY455X000FC012090 It is red, It is a 80cc four stroke. I do find references to Badger 80s yet they seem to have a different Frame ID.

I need a new CDI that has part numbers on it as 55x-M1  50124    The badgers CDI shows up as 55X 85540-M2-00   I am guessing that would work yet for $300.00 I hate to take a chance that it may not.

My CDI works for a few days if I heat it up with a heat gun before trying to start and I have also cooked it @ 225 degrees for 20 minutes in the oven which made it work for a while too.

I might just wrap it with a 12v coffee cup heater so that the customer I am selling it to has an easy start system. LOL

Is this a Badger?

well it's been fun, I am going the rout of hopefully fitting a $7.00 China CDI box to my YFM80 moto4. I have learned a bit about CDI's reading and watching people doing this on You tube. I had no problem finding the cheap CDI's on Ebay and got one. I then ran into the problem of finding the proper male connector so I could hook it up. After hours of searching through ebays 200 & some thousand electronic parts for ATV's I got one coming, it cost the same as the entire CDI box itself. LOL

Thank you all for all the help I have gotten on here.

Hello everyone, I have a 92 honda trx350 I just picked up that has a bent section of the frame where the rear of the seat would clip into place. It almost looks like a tree or something heavy fell on it. Its a fairly deep bend, if that makes sense. It like a V instead of straight. What are peoples goto methods for straightening a section like that?

I'm sure this has been tossed around on here numerous times but with the unveiling of the new KTM fuel injected 2 stroke. Could this be the first step in a come back for my beloved double ding ding machines. Ok lets hear it. Why do you like one or the other??? Myself, I always felt it was the throttle control and Powerband response with the 2 strokes. I know this sounds weird but on a 4 stroke, no matter size or model. I always felt like i was along for the ride instead of in control. I've spent hours on my buds 400EX, even took a new 450r for a spin. before they discontinued them. Blasters, Banshees, and a number of 125's, 250's and even one late 80's Honda XR250R... Results all the same. For me its a comfort and control that im used to with the 2 strokes.... and i love the smell of bean oil... So lets hear it. Im sick of arguing with same two people at work on this issue.
