I'd like to purchase a rebuild kit for the OEM carb that came on my 2000 honda trx300ex. Do I need to use the letters/numbers on the carb to search online for a kit or, are there other methods? Thanks!

Just keihin QB or QB01/2 should do it..  QB is the model, the numbers are specifics about it's setup..  You only need the gaskets and rubber bits and perhaps a float needle and seat.

I'd just buy the gasket and O ring kit from honda and then if I needed the float needle or seat or the pump diagram I'd buy those separately.

Honda's kit will be good quality... and it will fit.

Yup..  About the only other parts you are likely to need would be a float needle jet, or the diaphragm on the fuel pump, part 9. Those are both inspectable though, and testable.

The pump and the float can both be tested before you pull the carb apart or order any parts..  The pump should pump, and the float, you tilt the carb on it's side so the float will be hanging down and away from the float needle, then as you blow through the fuel inlet you slowly tilt the carb so the dangling float will start to swing towards the needle. The fuel inlet should get closed off fully as soon as the weight of the float starts to press on the needle.

I have a 2009 Honda Rancher TRX420FA with shifting problems.
Usually it shifts ok when cold but after couple minutes it will stop shifting with no codes.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in first gear is 74psi. The 2nd shift clutch oil pressure when in second gear is 74psi.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in neutral is zero. The problem is when the tranny is in neutral the 2nd shift clutch pressure starts around 10-15psi and builds to 20psi. Is this normal?

was thinking most of us on this forum would have another ride, so to get the ball rolling...........
MY MAX 4 6X6 2009, now this will actually go anywhere including across the water. In the 3rd photo I had gone up the river about 30 meters then climbed up the bank, 6X6 owners call it "swimming"

Hey guys, so I've been messing with my quad, and between all the starts, the battery is dead. Is there a certain way to charge these? Can I just throw a trickle charger on it and call it a day? can i also jump it like a normal car with a battery pack or is that to much voltage
