2005 Honda trx300ex won't go

It's probably the clutch.

If the clutch wears out it generally gives plenty of warning though.. Has it been slipping for a while ? If not then are you sure it's going into gears ? Does the shift feel right ? Have you tried it in all the gears ? Are there any bad/strange noises coming out of the gearbox ?

Have you checked the clutch lever down on the case is free and going right back when you let the lever on the bars out ? Have you tried adjusting the clutch ?

Unless there are bad noises or a bad feeling shift on the lever then I think you need to take the clutch cover off and have a look..

Everything is functioning and no odd or bad sounds tried every gear including reverse it just won't go. Do u know if the trx300ex parts are interchangeable with the trx400ex they are both 2005(and just wanted to correct the post is about a trx400ex that won't go )but I have a 300ex that's dead and hopefully for parts if the are interchangeable

Look a part up in partzilla, choose the part by clicking on it's part number and it takes you to a new page, scroll down and it shows you what other model bikes that part fits..

Did this problem come on suddenly, or just gradually over months get worse. Clutches normally take a long time from the first signs till they won't drive any more. Something might have come loose or broken.

And no, it seems the 350 and 400 parts do not interchange..

I did a compression test on my 2005 Bombardier Traxter 650 CVT and it's 75 PSI.  service manual only talks about leak down test.  No specification for engine compression the manual.  What does 75 PSI tell me?  Thank in advance.

A little history of this machine.  640 miles.  Picked it up about 2 years ago, not running. Probably the computer.  Tested all circuits and confirm it was the computer.  Long story short, I watched a Youtube video and fixed the computer. ATV now started and runs.  BUT, it tops out 20 MPH.  I cleaned the carb 3 times also using a Mikuni carb kit after the second time.  Slide in carb is going up and down.  Only adjustment for fuel is at 1.5 turns out.  NGK Sparkplug had soot on main part but brown on the electrode.  Champion sparkplug is brown.  I check CVT clutches and they both appear to engage like they suppose to.  Checked valve clearance it's 0.00, I can't get any feeler gauges in-between.  I check timing chain I believe it's in the correct position and hasn't skipped.  I removed muffler plug and drilled into muffler to try and make sure it wasn't plugged.

Hi guys. I have a problem where the quad will start and run well for about 5 minutes and then it dies. On inspection the airbox has oil in it (quite a lot). The oil is pumping through the cylinder head breather hose. This problem first happened suddenly. I have since done the top end including, piston, gaskets, rings and valves. I have also done the carb (not that I thought that this was the problem). The compression seems normal. The only thing that I can think of, is that I did not grind the valves well enough. Anyone experienced this? If so, how did you fix it? Any other thoughts?

So I've got a Hisun 550 that I was doing some work on that required removing the CVT and it's housing. Upon attempting to reinstall the clutch, sheaves, etc, I found that the belt no longer fits - it's far too wide. None of the parts have been replaced, they're all OEM. Exactly the same parts as what I took off a few weeks ago.
To be more specific, my belt is 1.25in wide, but the gap between the clutch and the primary sheave is only 7/8in wide. I'll include a few photos to explain.
Has anyone ever experienced such a bizarre problem? Any help at all would be appreciated, I've been stuck on this for a month. I'm open to just about any suggestion.

Hello i have a 2005 Bombardier Outlander max xt 400, i recently split the case to fix a oil leak. while in there i took out the oil pump and i cant find the torque specs for the oil pump to go back in, i tend to over tighten everything so im trying to go be the torque specs so i dont break anything.

      Thank you in advance
