Any body have a part number for replacing the safety interlock on the left brake so you can start the engine with the brake handle pulled and in gear
or how to bypass this function so you can start in gear

I have a 1990 Honda fourtrax 300 2x4
I rode the other day for 30-45 min. Switched it off and now it is completely dead..
battery is fully charged, fuses are good . WILL NOT TURN OVER ,
headlights won't turn on , No neutral, reverse or oil temp lights . Electrically it is completely dead !!! I replaced the key switch and CDI box , STILL NOTHING.
I bypassed the neutral safety switch and grounded it to the battery and still nothing !! I used a jumper wire on the starter Solenoid , the motor will turn over but not start . I even bypassed both fuses and straight wired it to see if I could get a neutral light or headlights still nothing . What could it be ?

Hi All. ย I introduced myself some weeks ago with my 2006 LT-F400F that needed a list of repairs including replacing the cracked generator cover. ย It is back together as of last night and cranks up, idles and revs high pretty well. ย Needs some fine tuning and stop backfiring at stop.
The big issue is it will not go into gear. ย I reassembled the insides with help from yโallโs posts. ย The transfer selector moves from H-L-R, and the foot shifter moves thru the gears and finds neutral easily enough. ย Before I tear it back open, the ย transfer selector on top does not move as far as the repair manual says. ย The diagram shows the shaft moving something like 40 degrees between L and H and 50+ degrees between L and R but it doesnโt move that far even though it finds the indent areas and moves well. ย
Could this be the problem. ย I aligned all the dots on the shifter gears inside and it appeared to not be binding anywhere. ย I do hear the gears touching when I shift like they are trying to engage, but zero movement from the ARV
It was somewhat difficult to tell whether all the parts are installed on each shaft.
Are there better/bigger photos somewhere that would allow me to be confident I included all the washers and bushings, etc? ย If I had any doubt on parts that were laying inside after the cover broke then I purchased replacements from online stores.

I have this bike in my shop for a customer. It was sunk completely under water and left running until it killed. I did a complete engine rebuild. Replaced all bearings, crank, oil pump, and various other components. Engine starts and runs great. It will shift up through all gears perfectly in automatic and in ESP, but when slowing down it gets to 3rd gear and the MIL "-" light comes on and stays on. No flashes or anything and it will not shift gears. Kill the engine and restart in ESP mode and it is able to shift to neutral and start over. Does the same thing while down shifting in ESP mode. I replaced shift angle sensor with no improvement. Checked oil pressures as per repair manual "74psi" and higher with higher RPM's. With no MIL codes to point at an issue. I am at a loss as to what else to check or replace. Has anyone else ran across this issue?
