do they really help? is it worth spending the 300 bucks or could improvements be made elsewhere??

Nick is getting a stabilizer like GPR or Precision so I'll get his pencil stabilizer to add to my quad, so then I'll have two pencils..one on each side....

I mean, Idk what else I could get....I'm already gettin new tires, beadlocks on the back, repacking my pipe, graphics, new seat.....but, i'm selling the bike cause I just don't use it and can use the money elsewhere.......so, I thought Fasst bars maybe?

Have you ever ridden with them?? I mean, I know the top harescramblin' pros use them so I figured they've got to help.......I've just never used them.

The real question is would the pro riders use them if they had to buy their own? I have tried them once for a short amount of time. I saw no difference, but I didn't ride for any kind of distance. They are suppose to help with arm pump and rider fatigue.

ive ridden on them for a short amount of time, and couldnt rele tell a HUGE difference bewteen the flexx and my pro taper contours.

now ive heard from ppl that do have them and ride for hours and hours on end with them. and they say its like shocks for your arms.

for the money ill stick with my contours. but if you have the green,by all means getcha some

i don't have it right off hand which is why im selling my pit bike. i get the worst arm pump in the world about 3 miles into the race...that sucks when you've still got 20+ miles to ride before the race is over.....I'm basically trying anything I can to help with the arm pump.....

A bit of advise. Go to a store that sells guitars. They have little hand held devises you squeeze to strengthen each individual finger. Use that like it is going out of style. This will build up the muscles in the upper part of your fore arm. Don't strap your gloves as tight as you can. Try to leave them loose, when you tighten them it restricts blood flow. Not crazy, but enough to help cause arm pump. When you are riding try not to hold on to the bars with a death grip. The more you white knuckle the bars, the more fatigue you will feel. Try putting icey hot on your arm where the pump occurs. These are all tricks I used on 2 wheels.

Heres my story. Kinda long. I guess I was a late bloomer when it comes to quads. I had never ridden a quad in my life. Rode Dirt Bikes as a kid growing up. Back in Oct of '06 I found a Mustang on craigslist. Took it for a test drive one morning before work. Fast car. 351 Cleveland. I had planned on meeting the guy again after work. For some strange reason thats still to this day beyond me, I stopped in Hillsboro MotoSports on the way home from work. I had 6 Grand on me. There was a left over '05 sitting by the front door. It was on sale for $4999. It was $5499 OTD. I didnt even look at anything else. I knew nothing about quads accept I thought it really looked coool and I had the money in my pocket to buy it. I was sitting on it when the salesman walked up and asked... "Can I help you?" Without hestitation I pulled 60 Ben Franklins outta my front pocket and said "I want this Quad. Load it up in my truck." It was just about dark by the time I drove away from the shop. BTW, I didnt bother to ask my ol lady if I could buy it. LOL. Anyway, I took it by the house and showed her. She was kinda stunned but not mad. We drove over to a friend of mines house and unloaded it. I took it to the field across the street from his house. HOLY CHIT!!!!! I was surprised by the power. I had it for about 2 weeks and took it to Sand Lake. I was there a few hours and rolled it on a banked turn at the top of the bowl right before you get to the one-ways. When it rolled, I flew off and landed on my belly. The quad came bouncing and landed on my back. For a month I couldnt even walk. I was scared of it. I considered trading it for a 250EX. Went back to the shop. The salesman said..."Dude!!! You dont want a 250EX!!! Trust me. Just get used to it" I still wasnt convinced. I put it on craigslist for $4000. Calls were coming in. I had a guy that wanted to come look at it that evening. I decided to take it for one last ride at Browns Camp before I sold it. I was still afraid of it. After about 5 minutes I started feeling comfortable on it again. I decided right then, I loved my Honda 450 and would learn how to ride it instead of selling it. That was late Nov of '06. Work was slow for a Painter in Oregon. My new job everyday? Going to Browns Camp and ridding my Quad. I bought my Girl Friend an '02 Blaster. I rode my 450 for 4-6 hours almost every single day for 3 months. And yes, I know my way around Browns Camp pretty well. LOL. In March I bought her an '06 TRX250EX (Thank God I didnt trade my 450 for one of those) LOL Since then, I have become totally addicted to quads. I love them. Couldnt imagine not owning at least one quad. Luckily I have two. My "07 was $6500 OTD in July of '07. Bought it for my Girlfriend. Traded in her 250 EX. A month later we broke up. So, I wound up with two Honda 450's.

Hi everyone, I’m new here and new to 4 wheelers. Just got a Yamaha bear tracker 250 and joined here to see if I could get some help.
The motor runs and it drives if it up on jackstands but if you get on and try to ride it, it starts to drive but then quits after a foot or two and dies out and won’t drive. The guy I got it from said he was running and using it shifting through all the gears great and he started it up the next day and it started this.
He told me he thought it was the U joint on the driveshaft. He said it was probably worn and needed to be replaced.
I just finished pulling the swing arm and rear end assembly to check out the U joint and there’s no play in it. It’s tight and not nearly enough play to be loose enough to not catch and go.
Any ideas on what it could actually be?
      Thanks
      Timothy

I went to NYC over the weekend to see the tree at Rockefeller with tha family, and on the way down from about 50 miles north could not help but keep looking in the sky while driving at diffent lights. Planes, small planes, choppers? Some of them looked like slow moving drones but not really sure. If you are in the tri-state area, you can't help but wonder what's going on... thoughts?
