I have an 85 230S with stock front suspension, extended swingarm in the back. I would like to upgrade the suspension for a better ride quality. I can only ride now for about an hour before my back starts to hurt. Are there kits available? Could I swap the suspension from a bigger bike? Any sugestions would be helpfull.

I don't think there are much in the way of kits and stuff out there. I met a guy who had done a total restore on one and had the front a-arms made for it. You might try getting some different shocks, measure yours and find some other manufactures that are close.

Put some wheel spacers on it, that will give you a little more width, and it will increase the leverage that the wheel has on the shock thus making them feel softer. You might also try turning the preload adjustment back all the way. Aftermarket shocks are expensive and you may not be able to find them for that model anyway and swapping shocks from another ride can be more difficult than you might think. Every shock is engineered for its specific application. The placement of the shock on the a-arm between the pivot and the spindle determines how stiff the shock must be, since this placement differs from one machine to another, it isn't as easy as just finding a shock that is the same length and happens to fit.

I was looking to buy a new ATV.
I was debating between Polaris sportsman 450 and Honda rancher.
      Polaris it a bit cheaper.
But can you tell me which one will have more demand on the used market? Which one will keep it's value better?

Looking for two stock front wheels for 92 TRX300 2WD.   I think they are 6 x11" size.

I recently noticed my Fourtrax 2WD has 4WD wheels installed on the front.  The back spacing is significantly different than 2WD wheels and they are almost touching the strut springs and the tires actually do touch the springs..   So far, no luck locating 2WD wheels to correct this issue.

Hi, I am new to this forum I am currently working on my 1989 Yamaha front end.  The cv axles were bad so I changed them on both sides with all new wheel bearings. Now I'm looking at the front brakes and the 2 cylinders for the brake shoes on both sides do not work at all. I am also new at working on brakes so its a mystery to me what needs to be done to fix the cylinders.  Can somebody please help me with these brake issues? See the image below.
      Thank you,

I picked up this ATV that had no spark. The previous owner said he was driving it and it died and would not start. He discovered it had no spark. He replaced the CDI and the coil with no luck. He got tired of it and I bought it. I replaced the stater and now it has strong spark. Now, it starts for a second or two then dies. It will not stay running. I have checked the timing and it is spot on. The valves are adjusted correctly. I see no warn issues with the cam. I put the original CDI and coil back on it. Same problem exists. Compression is at 65 psi (has decompression mechanism),
I took off the muffler in case the issue was clogged pipes. No change. I replaced the spark plug. No change. The carb was an aftermarket so I put a Niche carb on with no change. I bypassed the fuel pump and that did nothing to solve the problem.
I don't know if this is a carb issue or an ignition issue. I am looking around locally for an OEM carb to try out but not sure that will fix the problem.
Can anyone help me solve this problem. I am running out of ideas.
      Thank you for your time
      Bill
