97 yamaha big bear 350 4x4

i am looking for a replacement carb. i think the original carb was a btm32 mikuni but am not sure. not looking to spend alot of money on something high performance. will a mikuni vm32 work?

I would look for a stock replacement carb, Ebay would be the ideal place to find one for cheap. May I ask why you need to replace the carb, is the original beyond repair?

picked up the 350 on the cheap. guy had a non stock mikuni on it with a bad carb. choke was jammed down with a piece of cotton and capped. definetly missing parts. ran so so but since the price was right it is worth putting a little money into it since it is a 4x4 and would be good to mud with. got bids on an original btm32 on e-bay already. problem with bids, they are for used carbs. looking to find something newer as far as an aftermarket carb thats why i was wondering if a vm32 mikuni would work.

I would just try to get ahold of the original carb, a used one in good shape can be gotten for a decent price, a new carb will cost a few hundred bucks. Just make sure you only buy from a seller that has a good rep, that way you will be less likely to get a crap part. If you want to know if this particular carb will be compatable, you might call someone at Mikuni, or some place like Sudco that does carbs.
