John Deere has rung in the new year right and has generously donated a new John Deere Marksman Jacket for our Dallas Safari Club Convention / Denver International Sportsmens Expo "Friend of Tread Lightly!" promotion!!! You know you want to win (again), so...

Here's how this works:

Sign up to be a "Friend" of Tread Lightly! between now and Sunday January 8th, either by stopping by either of our booths (Denver ISE - Youth Fair at the back, DSC - A4), scanning the QR code on the poster below, or going to our "Friend" page on the Tread Lightly! website Tread Lightly - Become a Friend of Tread Lightly! and signing up. By becoming our friend, you'll receive periodic emails about TL! and our efforts encourage responsible use and stewardship on public lands and waterways.

On January 9th, we will announce the winner. Only those who sign up as Friends between now and the 8th are qualified.

      New guy needs help - Kawasaki Bayou 300

      My first quad and I have a problem. I have a Kawasaki Bayou 300 1997. When I start it. It will go on high idle for about ten seconds before it goes down to low idle. It does this even when I don't touch the throttle or the choke.
      Also, when I give it some throttle and let go. It will come back to fast idle for about ten seconds before it comes down to slow idle. Therefore I have to wait for it to slow up before I can shift. The throttle linkage drops right back to the stop on the carb buy the rpms stay up for a while. If you have any ideas what might be wrong please let me know. thank you Fred

      Wiring a new cdi for 340 artic cat and wire colors don't Match

      Mid 80's 340 artic cat is going into a go cart just for fun i bought a new cdi unit the original plug was cut off when I got it. there is 5 wires 2 yellow, a red a white and a brown my new cdi has 5 also a  lt/green a blk/wht abrwn, a black a blu/grn is there a wiring diagram I can use for reference or which wires go where a y help would be greatly appreciated jated.  BTY I'm  Derek and new to this forum I am actually trying to help a friend with project and learn a little in the process

      New Guy, Busted 2000 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 Project

      Hello all!
      I was given a 2000 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 (Quad 500 Runner?) and its current state is a bit of a mystery!  
      Kept indoors but hasn't been run in 5 years.  We're not trying the engine until the gas is replaced, and the tires are reinflated. But the previous owner said their only issue was stalling when shifting to reverse without giving some throttle.
      I'm optimistic!  See y'all around!
