Some of you may have read I traded my daughters E-Ton 90 quad for a 83 Honda xr100. I should have done more homework some parts are hard to find. I bought a new Mikuni carb now it runs good & the master link came apart on the chain. I made a parts list but it looks like it is going to grow. I was asked what I would take for my Prairie & I said 2,500 thinking the guy would walk away he said he well get back with me on it this week I should have said 3,000 then I would feel good if he were to buy it.

i had that exact xr back in 2001 to 2006. it worked awesome. it pulled the front wheel in damn near every gear like you said too. the only problem i had with it were plugs. i went to a crackshot retired honda mechanic and he sold me 6 or so plugs that didn't have the resistors. they made the complete difference of no problem starting, but i'm sure the neighbors couldn't watch t.v. to good

Ox now that I put the new carb on and got it running right the front wheel will come off the ground in 1st,2nd & 3rd now. Thats good for a bike that will be 30 years old I didn't expect it to have the power it has being a 100. I would say to get this bike in very good condition it's going to take around 300.00 to 350.00 bucks. Thats for the missing parts that I can get skid plate, chain adjusters, brake & throttle cable, tires & side covers last is (a repaint frame & tank I think I got that part covered.lol)

I recently bought a 87 TRX 250 not running of course, the owner had a brand new Key Switch on it.
I think it is the wrong one or wrong wire colors as the colors dont match up with wiring diagram i downloaded for it.
anyone have a pic of their ign switch wires where they connect with the wire colors for that model? I ended up leaving the black/w stripe and
green wire disconnected in order to hot wire it for other testing but would like to know as the colors dont match diagram.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?

Well while I was waiting for new parts for the choke, I decided to adjust the clutch. When I removed the lock nut, I found the guy I bought it from or someone else had stripped the threads on the adjustment rod. I couldn’t get the adjustment rod to turn without putting a pair of channel locks on the screw driver, this was telling me something was wrong. So now the rod pushes in and out and spins freely too freely. So guess I’ll have to take the clutch housing off to see what’s going on and replace the adjustment rod, it’s threads are beyond repair, and there is something going on with the adjustment rod. If there’s another way please let me know. The further I go the worse it gets. Thanks for any help.
