2007 Suzuki KQ 450 - FI Light

Hi guys ... I have 07 kq 450 and got the problem with starting when the fi light is on... When i boost the battery quad starts... That happen everytime when im ice fishing and quad just sits for 1hr or more... Anyone know what is the problem?

unless the system needs to be reset (heard if unplug battery give or take 24 hrs) you may need a new battery if yours isnt up to snuff ... put a volt meter on it and if you have less than 12 volts, you may need a new one ... wonderful electronics eh?

The battery is brand new!

try unhooking the battery or cdi box overnight and it may fix it ???

not sayin its a 100 percent fix, but i have seen this before on the suzuki forums ...

Does the FI light stay on after you start it? Why did you replace the battery? Temp while ice fishing?

Hi... No fi light us gone after i do jump the battery with booster... Temp r about 10-20 f in the morning! I thought the old battery was not holding power so bought newone

Does sound like a weak battery. And will be exacerbated below 20F. After you do the overnight reset like Ox says, check your battery is getting a charge. Meter the battery first with engine off. Should be around 12vdc. With engine running should be around 13-14vdc.
