  1. I traded that rancher I had but not for the Z400 that guy just didnt set with me right. Had an offer on a warrior I figured what the heck looked at it looked it all over and it was leaking oil so didnt do that either.

I ended up trading with my brother in laws parents for a 2001 400ex its all stock other than it has a FMF exhuast and some nerf bars. But it was totally worth the trade to have an extra play bike for company nothing major for this bike need my money other places lol.

    Will get pics up soon.

  2. Yeah mine has a problem since I installed the gate its ballanced to well. If the EX is up front and DS in back hit 60 and trailer weaves with the DS up front it floats fine but it dont fit as easy. Hoping getting more weight on the tounge will do wonders for lol.

  3. looks nice dont it lmao I did a bit of riding last night from about 6 till midnight pretty dusty and I didnt come home till 7 am and I spent all day jetting this thing yesterday and again during riding time last night man what a night lmao all nighter with riding and playing some xbox online lol im pooped.

Better pics today with my DG frame gaurds only 400 I ever saw with them and my custom X-Factor rear grab bar. I custome did the job since the 400ex dont have a removable wheelie bar, what did I do? I removed it lmao. I installed it in a way that I didnt loose my rear brake light and it looks killer. Most all 400's you see with this done the brake light has been removed.

  5. I did the custome tailgate on it and im pondering cutting everything loose and moving the axel back to make it ride better and installing a side load gate as well.

And it will get more decals lol, when I order something if I dont like the decals for my bike or left overs I put them on the trailer lol.

  6. Thanks I gotta get new pics, EX has gotten black frame guards since and the DS has gotten radiator guard, and a water temp guage on the dash and a K&N breather on the case.

right now for the EX im buying a Insane Performance Alum airbox and going to order a moose racing steering stabilizer.

Rancher might be getting traded for a 2003 Z400 but not sure lol.

I need to get new pics of all of them cleaned up these pics are kinda old and dont have everything installed.

  7. Now thats how it was when I bought it I am gonna remove it and install a flip up leg with a wheel on the side this one just dont rise up like I would like it to and lord almighty the crank is slow as hell lol

  8. 400ex all the way man but im an owner. for the begginer in mind on the trails there best the 450's can be learned quickly but are a bit harder to learn on in the trails.

I would if looking at the Z400 or KFX400 or DVX400 I would get the KFX there the best over the other 2. There exactly the same all the way around but the KFX has better suspension from the factory even over the EX and is a great machine but the EX is a way reliable bike and is also several hundred cheaper.

  9. Seeing that he said he likes to go fast for short burst, I'm going to guess sport.

Look into Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha are going to be the top 4. There is also Polaris, Artic Cat, and Can Am.

I would look into something like a Honda TRX400EX, Suzuki Z400, Kawasaki KFX 400, or the Artic Cat DVX400. The Z400,Kfx400 and the DVX 400 are exactly the same machine...just different plastics.

The 400cc sport quad is one of the best trail machines around. They are a pretty tame machine and easy to ride. If you wanted to, they can be modded to run as fast as the 450 racers.

Are you looking for new or used?

Agreed perfect for the begginer and the trails.

as far as 450's the honda is the way to go there but not the best stock in the way of suspension.
