    Get rid of the NAFTA Treaty. Big government won't allow it. Trump tried to stop it and they hated him. I have yet to find any good part made in China, it's all junk.

    i did put a spark tester on it while running, it has an orange spark, i'm not sure how bright it should be, and that won't show me if it's failing and resuming. i'll see what a timing light will show. thank you

    i don't think so, sometimes it'll clear up and run fine, then starts acting up. 2 stroke smoke does come out the end. i'll look that over but i don't think thats it. thank you

    i added this video because its hard to explain what it's doing. i cant figure this problem out. i thought it was fuel. but its got good flow from the tank and i tried a different carb and got the same result. hiting the throttle doesnt change anything. it's driving me nuts. it has a new stator and coil. video-1656360395.mp4

    it was an aftermarket. easy to install, worked well. if i can find what brand it was , i'll let you know.

    I bought a stator for a 98 polaris from Partzilla. it was around 230 bucks.

    I buy off ebay, just bought a Wiesco top end lit for my Polaris. If I can't find what I need off Ebay, I go to Partszilla . kit

    I tried finding a carb., i cant find a 2 stroke carb anywhere for this polaris. i can find 4 stroke carbs all day long. i bought a rebuild kit, i'll see how that goes. thank you

    oh I hope thats not the case here. lol either that or my sons going to learn how to rebuild the motor. lol. did you take the motor apart to determine that ? thank you

    I have a 1990 Trailboss 250 2 stroke 4x4 thats giving me a headache. It has great spark , seems to get fuel, but wont start. it turns over, tries firing sometimes, but just wont get going. I had it going once giving it some throttle, about half throttle, but died out. seems like its starving for fuel, but the plug gets wet and fuel comes out of the opening for the air cleaner. i'm really stumped . if it has spark and getting fuel, it should run. I did rebuild the carb also. Any suggestions ?

    thanks everyone. looks like someone removed the oil reserve. i saw that they are all 2 strokes, that oil fill and glass level indicator must be trans oil.

    i checked the vin again, that is whats stamped on the frame. i believe it is a 4 stroke . i found an oil fill and the glass oil level indicator . 198 stamped on the side of the motor. my guess is an 88 yamaha blaster 200 4 stroke.

    there are 2 dashes on the camshaft, i lined them up even with the head and had the timing mark lined up in the inspection hole on the crankcase.

    i got this yamaha blaster. but i need to order some parts and i dont know what year it is or engine size. 2 or 4 stroke. every site i check for vin decoding doesnt give me an answer. can someone figure it out ? JY42XJW0XJ0015282 .The guy i bought it from said its a 2 stroke. but there isnt an oil reserve tank and there is an oil fill cap on the crankcase . unless thats a trans fill .

    all the sites i tried wont decode the vin because there isnt enough numbers. i cant find a site to decode the 7 digit vin

    I picked up an old polaris , trying to figure out the year and engine so i can order some parts. i think its a 250 2 stroke . its 4 wheel drive. vin is 1719179. anyone know where i can get the info or know themselves ? thanks

    My 4 wheeler will run for 5 minutes, either idling or riding it, then just quit. let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, it'll start and go again for another 5 minutes then quit again. new top end, new carb. new fuel lines. i'm confused. almost like a vapor lock. i took the gas cap off, doesn't seem to be an issue with that. any ideas ?
