  1. Tore it apart this weekend and it was the hub.
  2. Looks like a cool place. And not very far from home.
  3. I started when I was around 8 with a Honda big red 3 wheeler.. After a few years later I got a XR100, then a KX80, and finally a CR125. Then I had nothing until recently when I got my kids a Bayou 220 to ride around.
  4. Thanks. The diagrams look very useful.
  5. Yes it's a solid axle. Thanks for the info. I'll pull and check the hub first.
  6. I think I have a bad axle as only on wheel drives. I'll be taking it apart soon and was wondering if it usually goes bad at the hub or differential end?
  7. I would think you would have found at least a small piece. I guess it's possible it was ground onto nothing.
  8. I bought a 220 for my daughter and after riding for while it cut off and wouldn't start back up. Found the cam and rockers completely destroyed. When I replaced the head and got it running I checked and had no oil pressure. Pulled the side cover and the oil pump was missing the plastic gear. There were no pieces in the anywhere to be found. The side cover didn't look like it had been off in a long time. I wonder how long this thing was run without an oil pump. Put a new pump on it and its been running great.
  9. I had to get a new head for my 220 earlier this year. I was able to find a good used one on Ebay for a little over $100 shipped.
  10. Elgin, SC Working on getting an old Bayou 220 going for my kids.
