  1. Yeah, I grab a new battery off Amazon and the it starts fine. After making adjustments to the carb the little thing runs like a raped ape
  2. Would you recommend the lift or scissor table for general maintenance? The only thing that has kept me from pulling the trigger is the max height seems low.
  3. I have it running pretty smooth after playing around with carb. The battery won't hold a charge and I have to jump start it, so I'm going to go ahead and grab a battery this week.
  4. He started it in gear? I didn't think that was possible.
  5. I'm curious about this as well. Do we go by hours or mileage?
  6. I've had pretty good luck with their automotive floor jacks and hand tools for my weekend warrior projects. I like how this unit has the physical stop on it so you're not relying on the hydraulics. There's an aluminum version for $100 more. I can't see much justification for spending the extra dough though. https://hftools.com/app63397
  7. Where's the best place to look for new/used plastics for older quads?
  8. Anyone using the AtV/Motorcycle lift from Harbor Freight? I like the idea of having something other than jack stands. Is there another option that I should look into? https://hftools.com/app60536
  9. It ran when I picked it up, had to jump it then, so I was anticipating getting a battery. I was playing around with the idle screw on the carb, and it seems better, but there seems to be something else going on. I might need to try to clean the carb this weekend.
  10. It does start when jumped. It then stalls out. The battery will take a charge, but it just doesn't seem like it has a enough oomph to turn the engine over.
  11. Thank you for the detailed response. I will start with the battery. It seems to take a charge, but doesn't put out enough juice to start the machine.
  12. Just picked up a 2014(?) Chinese quad for my kids to play around on. I can get the quad to start up, but then it dies out when we get ready to take off. Do I just keep playing with the carb, or is there something else I should be looking at? Also, what kind of amps should I be looking for in a replacement battery? Thanks
  13. Happy New Year everyone. I made the mistake of buying used quads for everyone this Christmas. I hoping to utilize the site as I'm tinkering with them. '93 Kawasaki Bayou 300 '97 Honda Fourtrax '14 Tao Tap 110cc
