  1. I got the issue fixed but there are some other nit picky things I need to get it perfect. What's the issue with your 250? I have a quadrunner 250 also I think the petcock and fuel pump are the issue, they both are messed up and I think it's not getting enough fuel until I give it throttle
  2. I think we both know by the shape of that jet. He had tried to fix the issue before but I don't think he had much experience fixing things as he did mangling them
  3. Everything is running fine now. Now my only issue I'm working on rectifying is It stumbles when taking off in first. If I choke it about halfway no problem but without it Boggs until it catches throttle then it's perfect like 0-1km/h
  4. There was also an o ring that was busted and almost missing. I think that was causing a lot of the blowback into the air intake
  5. I fixed it!!!! I bought a carb rebuild kit and found I had a broken jet inside and an o ring was torn in the forks that hold the main jet. The only issue now is getting it to run perfect. I took it out on a trail ride today and it will go wide open now but stumbles a slight bit from not moving to moving. Then the power band picks back up. I think it has to do with the air fuel screw mixture so I'm gonna play around with it tomorrow but thank you everyone for your help. I now have a mint bike for 800 bucks plus 250 for the registration and trail pass
  6. Yeah... I do lol the 4 hours I've rode and 40+ I've worked on it, I at least know whatever breaks I am pretty capable of fixing it or at least limping home which is nice. Lol but when I take it out my upset is just loaded with tools. Just incase
  7. So it was the 20amp fuse in the headlight lol luckily my parts bike had two brand new ones on it Of course I tore the whole rack off and front plastics chasing the wiring harness thinking it was a fuse box further in
  8. Between the carb jets. The fuel pump and the cheap pieces in the carb. I think it's an aftermarket carb. Buddy said he replaced it last year when I asked him if he had the old parts. Also new thing. I'm going to trace the wires but thought I'd ask. I took it out for a run tonight and it ran well. I just couldn't go past half throttle but I could cruise around 60 at peak. But I got home and went to park it and I switched from neutral to reverse then it died. So I put it back into neutral and I had no lights at all. No green no reverse red and no headlights. I'm thinking maybe the regulator got fried? I put a small temp battery on and it is still fine but not big enough for a permanent position on the bike. But everything worked great up until that point. Would that be a wiring issue or is there a fusebox on this thing? Sorry I should clarify the battery was on the whole time and it ran well. It's out of the lt-f4wd I have
  9. Yes I know, I asked if there's a specific king of oil I buy for it? And the airbox is all good. Some jets don't have anything on them... That's why I am going to replace them Or it's missing pieces
  10. I did find an issue with my main jet so I need to wait for the new one before I dig into more things. It's running fine as it is for now but I want the rebuild kit before I tinker with the carb more What rebuild kit do you suggest and if I replace the carb completely?
  11. Okay, isn't that going to let more fuel flow? Whereas I can almost hit max rpm without the airbox cover so doesn't that contradict the issue? Also I'm out in it now riding the trails. It works fine besides not getting peak throttle. I can get up to around 45-50 km/h in fifth
  12. Okay question for you guys. Is there a way I could replace my sir fuel screw with something like my idle screw adjustment so I don't have to remove the carb to tweak it? That way the bike can be running when I adjust it?? Anyone do something similar?
  13. Lol I don't understand how you can be so dramatic about my bikes issues, how do you know I am not testing the pump? You can bow out if you like I am not gonna beg you to stay if you are going to make snarky comments about my actions towards my investment. You don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to what I look into and what I replace. I am asking for advice and tips not direct orders from someone who doesn't know exactly what is actually going on Besides what you have been told
  14. It may not be the pump but I am going to replace it anyway. It doesn't bog on hills now I have enough power and speed to get to about 15km in first. I can go through the gears as long as I stay below half throttle. I don't really need mods I just want a decent bike
  15. Ok so I appreciate your help and everyone else on here (including you randy) but mech I am going to go over everything on the bike anyway, it is running much better after cleaning the pump. I need a new one but the one on my parts bike cleaned up nicer and was the same numbers so I swapped it. I need to get a new pump though. And I am meeting a guy tonight that might have a carb off same year bike. He bought for the Axles The pump was in terrible shape. This one's not much better but better still and by the improvement I think it may be a big part of the issue. It only Boggs at half throttle (possibly due to the corroded pump) which looked new on the outside but was very rusted inside. I can drive it around and it is still a little peppy but won't go over half throttle. If I hold it just under I can cruise around and go through the gears fine but more and it Boggs. I appologize there is a lot of stuff that happens between what I post so it can get confusing for you all. I am following what tips you guys give me but at the end of the day I am going to do what I feel is the best approach. When I try something or switch something I test it as well and check that there is an improvement or not if not I put the original back on and move on. I have fixed a few other quirks along the way It is the pump off my bike and it looks like crap so I am going to clean it up and get a new one
  16. This is the assembly my parts bike and my bike had. No clear plastic but there are two gaskets
  17. Thanks mech I read all of that and I will check everything but I found something... I did see through all the jet holes and they were nice and clean. But maybe this could be an issue lol
  18. The screw I am turning is the fuel set screw restricts the flow, what one is the main jet off the carb diagram? I have hooked voltmeter to it and it gets around 14.2 when I peak the throttle without the airbox cover on so I can hit higher rpm. Around 11-13 or so idling
  19. I didn't say it runs better with a dead battery when I started the thread I said it ran fine before even with the dead battery Also I may have made some progress, there was some crap the pin hole of the slider jet so I cleaned that out and now I can get about half throttle with everything sealed properly so now I'm adjusting my set screw to see if I can get it to hit at least ¾ throttle VID_20230729_154736016.mp4
