  1. Is the coil an OEM one or something from eBay of unknown origin? I have had coils in the past that were defective on arrival...
  2. Cool, thanks for the input. I already discussed it with the customer and recommended to R&R the engine. Anyone have an idea of how many hrs that should take? My guess was 4-6 hrs but I might be way off.
  3. Well, I should also say that I would consider myself a very novice welder. That and worries about structural integrity of the chassis are my only concerns about doing it that way. It would definitely cut a lot of time out...
  4. I have a 2015 sportsman 570 in the shop currently with a cracked oil pan. It is a rental unit, (not my own rental company but a customer's) and the renter that was riding it apparently hit a large rock and dented the bottom of the skid plate into the oil pan and has cracked it where the drain bolt is. (And before any-one tells me to just JB weld it, I am not going to do that for obvious reasons relating to it failing down the trail. ) It is a quite large chunk that is broken and oil drains out about as fast as you can pour it in. I currently have the customer quoted for removing the engine and replacing the oil pan. Is this the best option? Or should I be looking into cutting the skid plate out, replacing the oil pan, and welding the skid plate back into place? Has anyone done that before? Thanks!
  5. I got it diagnosed and out the door and forgot about this site until now. The manual on this site was probably the wrong one anyway but I'll try to stay semi-active if there are any other manuals I should need. Thanks for your help guys!
  6. Thanks for the wiring diagram. That's is very similar to what I needed. I bought the manual from Yamahapubs online but the quality was so bad I could barely make out the wire colors 🤦🏼‍♂️ I'll see if I can get my money back, I've had good experiences with them in the past. Anyway, at this point I'm pretty sure that my ECU is bad. The manual I bought is for a YFM35FGIX which seems to be another name for the YFM350FWAN. Wiring diagrams are exactly like the bike is. Only issue is the aforementioned quality problems... Also, this is the manual I had seen on this site:
  7. It's an electrical 2wd/limited slip 4wd/locked front diff 4wd setup. I have verified that the front diff electric motor is good. There are 4 relays related to the control of the 4WD system. On one of the relays, if I bridge it on the load circuit side, the selector buttons/front diff operate normally. The only issue I have then is the indicator lights don't work properly. I basically narrowed it down to a pin on the ECM that is not supplying a ground to the relay I bridged. I am not sure however if it is because of a faulty ECU or if there is some other wiring related to the control of the ECU (something else telling the ECU to ground out and activate the relay. Hopefully that makes sense lol.
  8. Yes, it's a 2008 Grizzly 350 4WD IRS. As stated it's a YFM350FWAN model.
  9. I am trying to fix an issue with a quad. 4WD and DIFF-LOCK lights are always on and diff is stuck in 4wd mode with the diff-lock off. If someone had a wiring diagram that would be great. I did see a manual on this site for it but it doesn't let me download it as I am too new. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Hey all, My name is Weston and I own a small engine repair shop in Pueblo, Colorado. I've only been repairing engines for 2.5 years so I still have plenty to learn. I look forward to learning from you all and pitching in on problem-solving when possible. Thanks for the add!
