Absolutley do. I also use it for snowmobiling. Nothing fancy but someting that I can mark my entrance to the trail and find my way back. I use a ram mount and a garmin

Sold Arctic Cats for a while and I really liked their SXS but saw lots of problems with their bigger quads. Was also a Kawasaki Dealer and the Brute Force 750 was an excellent quad and really only broke because the riders were very very hard on them with massive tires. I have a Yamaha and quite like it but would buy a Kawi without hesitation.

easy way to repair plastics is from behind. Get a good two part epoxy and a an old rag. Cut a strip of the rag so that it is 1" bigger than each side of the crack, like a band aid. Put your two part epoxy on each side of the crack, lay the piece of rag into the epoxy then epoxy over the rag. When it dries it will be super strong and you wont see the rag because it is on the under side of the plastics.

I have an 02 and I have to use shear finger strength to get the battery out. Heavy and tight fit. -
I have always been a motorcycle guy and truly still am. I bought an acreage and my quad has been pretty much the most useful machine on the little farm. Sooo.... owning property got me into quads.

I am big fan of Motul oils. They seem to have some magic elixer that the clutches and manual shifting machines love. Very smooth transmission action as well.

from strictly a reliability stand point a good shaft drive is far less maintenance and reliable. You do not however get the ability to change ratios by adding or subtracting teeth on your sprocket.

I am trying to diagnose a no spark issue with my 02 Big Bear 400 and I am really hoping it is not a CDI. I have done the test on the stator and I believe that is faulty. I ordered a new aftermarket one from a the jungle website and it tested bad right out of the box so I am waiting for a different one to arrive from an ATV parts supplier. I started looking out of curiosity at CDI units and it seems if it is for a big bear you are SOL. Kodiaks, no problem. Big Bear. No such luck.
