  2. hello andyjoy i think you'll like it, seem to be friendly folk here
  3. That,s an interesting idea WillyPop. I have'nt been riding public land very long but I have been making some trips up to Red River New Mexico for the last couple of years. The state is talking about closing some of the trails there because of people not staying on the trails. I have seen a couple of places where that has happened and sure didn't like seeing meadows, streams etc. torn up that area of New Mexico supposedly has 300 miles of trails to ride, don't see why people can't ride the trails, sure wish the state had some numbers or websites posted that you could contact so these people could get their just rewards. go to redrivernmchamberofcommerce for more about this
  4. Hello WillyPop I'd like to transplant out of Texas myself right now, been triple digits here all week , we had our first one around here on memorial day (God bless the warriors)
  5. hello all, I want to throw out a thank you to DirtDemon and S-Hardy, appreciate ya'lls replies, got the cat out of the hospital today and went for a short ride this afternoon it sure felt a lot better. The tech adjusted the clutch pkg, he said it wasn't really ready for a new clutch yet, I was pleasantly surprised at that, I was sure I was going to hear that I needed a new clutch
  6. thank you bioware, lots of friendly folks on here, dont suppose i could talk you into sending some of that Wisconsin air down this way its been triple digits down here all week. Whew
  7. thanks for the replies, I too was wandering about the clutches, the bike has about 126 hrs and a little more 900 miles, I left the bike with the local dealership for the last two weeks and came away from that experience totally unsatisfied. I talked to a local indepedent tech on 6/10 that told me more in 5 minutes than the dealership did in two weeks. I delivered the bike to his shop on 6/11 and they thought they would have an opinon by 6/13. So, thanks again for responding, I'm taking the bike into northern New Mexico in september and don't want it to break down on the back side of Greenie Peak
  8. hello dirtdemon, i ride a 2006 arctic cat 400 4x4 great bike for trail riding not going to outrun too many people on the track though. i also have a 2008 honda 420 rancher with electric shift that the mrs. rides we try to get out and ride a couple of times a month

  10. hello to all, we like to ride trails a couple of times a month and try to get to red river new mexico once a year. not anything like riding at 8000 plus feet
  11. 2006 400 4x4 manual trans. Hello all, new to the forum and already have a question. My bike will shudder for just a second when shifted into 2nd gear, stops when rpm's come up the shudder is most prevalent when going uphill. Anybody else ever had this problem?
