  2. I did not know that at all nor even think about it. that might be something i do tomorrow while i wait for the fluids to drain haha. thanks Oxidized!
  3. Yeah for sure, ill get those pictures and upload them tomorrow as well as keep you up to date on how the project goes.
  4. Thanks Mario! Sweet Oxidized thnaks i appreciate it im about to start a project tomorrow most likely with all the info ive gotten on my kazuma post
  5. LOL i dont know if i want to be a part of a forum battle on my first day here.
  6. HAHA yeah i am going to try and take advantage of the sun tomorrow.
  7. I get some level pictures tomorrow and maybe even start flushing the fluids and taking it apart. work on my tan since its going to be nice tomorrow haha.
  8. when i start to take it apart a bit ill take some pictures and show you what the set up is. see if a regular gas line is an option cuz i would hate to keep pumping it every time.
  9. mhmm well if thats the case its just a matter of a longer gas hose correct?
  10. yeah the manual pump was placed by his dad no idea why. well if it wont harm the quad or battery then i should be good and might try to start it this weekend.
  11. well i might make a run this weekend and hopefully start this project then maybe get some good progress on it. sidebar: yeah i know its not stock, becuase my brother-in-law has the same quad just in blue and his does not have a manual pump. Im not sure if there was something wrong with it originally having a straight gas line and thats why they put a pump but it just makes it more complicated trying to start it with a pump haha.
  12. Hey all, so i am about to start a project of getting a 2004 Kazuma Dingo 150 back to working after it has not been turned on or touched really in 2 years. i couldnt find any forums on this or help on google. I want to flush the fluid systems; oil, brakes, gas, etc. im curious as to what the best way to flush the system and clean them internally im new to the whole ATV scene as well as im not an expert mechanic or anything. Id like to get the internals clean but dont want to ruin anything either. Just curious what you guys do and what works for you and especially what i should stay away from doing.
  13. lol i thought that would be bad due to the excessive power of a car running compared to the power needed on a quad.... well then i guess ill be stocking up on spark plugs i see well then i guess ill look at getting another marine battery. Side bar; Jerod you wouldnt by chance know anything about the gas pump would you?
  14. Damn this project looks like its going to get a bit pricey in the near future haha. i guess ill see what the old spark plug has left in it before i get a new one. Do you think buying a new battery is beneficial or sticking to the boat battery it has in it now? If fresh is better should i get a new boat one that it has right now or you thinking just getting an actual ATV battery that is meant to be used in this quad?
  15. i tried starting it 4 days ago and the battery is still somewhat good the lights start up but i only tried once because i didnt want to damage the quad because i know it hasnt been started in over a year and the fluid and gas changes are kind of a given. i just wanted to confirm if it was a dingo 150 so i buy all the correct fluids and battery before i start this project. I plan to replace the spark plug so thats not a big deal
  16. If you need any more pictures or would like a closer look at anything let me know i can always get post more pictures of it. if i remember correctly the chain looks like it is rusted a bit so im thinking of changing that if necessary
  17. Well as for the tire i did the soapy water and i found that its not a hole anywhere there are rocks between the rim and tire, i tried to get them as best as i could and i cant see any rocks or dirt and the rim is bent a little which is why i think i might need a new tire. it looses air fairly slow though until you sit on it then it goes and you can hear the air escape from the side where i got all the rocks out which is why i believe there might either be more rocks deeper past what i can see and feel or the rim is bend and the tire is gone. as for the battery, do you think it be better to go out and buy the actually Kazuma battery (Or any Quad specific battery that fits) or is this boat battery good? i mean like i said it is held by the two wooden slabs on the side and one on the bottom. So as for maintenance im not too worried about because my main concern is that it has not been started in probably 2 years and the gas is most likely gone bad so i will have to drain that and most likely every fluid in this thing and start fresh. Curious how long do you think this would take? to get to a working condition?
  18. Yeah well unfortunately my knowledge on ATVs does not exist. So i dont know where to begin. aside from the Tire because buying and changing the tire i hope is going to be simple.
  19. Thanks Wylde1. i hope i can get my quad up and running pretty quick since spring just hit.
  20. Or would it be better to give up on this quad??
  21. Hey guys, so i was handed down what i believe to be a Kazuma Dingo 150. It was given to me by my brother in law. There are many problems with this quad and i dont really know what to do or where to start. What i know for sure is its a 2004 Kazuma, it has however been altered by his father when it was first bought, there is a gas pump which i am pretty sure is not stock due to him having the exact same model just in a different color and it does not have the pump. The right rear tire does not hold air and the rim appears bend( i think thats an easy fix just buy a new tire unless theres more too it im not sure.) and i think its got the wrong type of battery. I want to get rid of this gas pump and get it back to whatever its stock performance is as well i dont have any manuals and the battery it has is a CTX7L-BS, when i google the battery it says its a Boat battery so im very confused and it is being held in by some wooden slabs... I would really like to know how i can fix this and if there are any tune up issues or maintenance issues i need to worry about as well. If its not a Dingo 150 can anyone tell me how i can find this out? I have attached pictures of the quad, gas pump, and battery. Hope someone can help me.
