Went for a ride yesterday to an area I haven’t been to in about 9 yrs. It’s the Raft River Mountain Range in the Sawtooth National Forest next to the Utah Idaho border. To get to the road / trail I rode, you have to go into Idaho for a ways, then west across about 20 miles of real good dirt road, which is still in Idaho, make a left heading south back into Utah and up into the mountains. After about 7 miles, I parked the truck, unloaded the bike and headed out for a GREAT DAY of RIDING !! :woot: From my home to where I parked the truck is about 120 miles (one way), so I left the house at 0530, stopped along the way for eggs and bacon … along with my morning “Fee” …. That’s “Coffee” guys & gals !! :coffee: The mountains actually poke out of the desert floor when viewed from an aerial view in Google Earth. It’s pretty dang flat on three sides of them. There are some connecting mountains on the West end but when you look North, South or East, it is amazing just how flat the valley floor is & how high in the sky you are. I must have seen about 100 Antelope on the way out there and once riding, I saw two big herds of deer. Only got a photo of one group that had split up … and they weren’t waiting around to see if I was just shooting photos of them or a rifle at them !! When I got back to the truck and loaded the bike I noticed a sheetrock screw in my tire. Luckily it was just into a tread block & not actually into the tire. (See Video Thumbnail) Hope you enjoy the video and make sure you change the video quality to 1080p for your best viewing enjoyment !! … :seeyac: NOTE: I also uploaded the video to Vimeo if you would like to watch it there too !!
