I am looking for any help or suggestion that I might be able to get on how to wire a '04 Kodiak 400 4x4 motor into a Coleman Outfitters / Hisun 400 4x4 Utv. This machine had the Kodiak motor installed and was running until someone stripped the wiring to install new harness. They destroyed the old harness so it of little use now. We have a new harness for the Utv and part of the wiring to the Kodiak CDI and Voltage regulator/rectifier is in place. For now I am just trying to find a good diagram of the wiring needed to Power up the motor. Any help with this part of our issue would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to help my son this machine running since he bought into this nightmare.

Hi, Thanks for a newbie on this site ! i have grinding noise in my front differential. the front right wheel is turning and the left is try to turn but no movement and make sound like a gear broken. somebody have any idea ? not enough oil in diff ? thank

Hello there, i am wanting to know, what would be a good 4 wheeler with a manual transmission? Either a real manual with a clutch, or a semi automatic transmission. Either 2 or 4WD will do. What i do want is one that has a rack at each end and can pull a small trailer. So what are your suggestions? I am open to most any brand though Linhai is the only one from China i would buy. So far it looks like Arctic Cat is overwhelmingly what fits what i'm looking for, but like i said, i'm open to almost any make. If there is any rivalry over brands count me out, i like them all. What i do want is one that will last through farm use, hauling feed sacks and so forth.

Hey guys I have a Yamaha moto 4 250 that was running great now all of a sudden I have low power. It starts up and idles great and engine sounds fine no knocking or ticking or anything like that. I can ride it and sometimes its like you flicked a switch and the power comes back for a minute and then it goes away again. I've changed the spark plug, cleaned the carb and it made no difference. I'm thinking the stator could be going bad but id like to find out more before I spend the money on it.

I have 2 1985 Yamaha yfm 200s the yellow bike runs great plug is nice and brown nothing worng with it the black one however runs like a bag of ass it Spitz out the carb it sputters runs real hot it's lean I know that but it literally has the identical carburetor every part of them is identical inside and out and no matter what I down I can't get it to richen out rather burn a whole lot of gas then burn the piston
Just purchased one of these and I have a few questions: Went to change the air filter and it fell apart, but there were two pieces of the foam wrapping the wire cage - Normal? In addition there was about an inch of oil in the bottom of the air filter box - again - Normal? The backing piece of plastic for the wire cage was laying in the bottom of the filter box and the bolt was also in the oil. I am also looking for a recommendation on what to do with the machine as far as maintenance, it runs well, shifts fine, needs a new battery, but what else should I be checking? The previous owner had it for over 25 years and does not have any records or memory of the last oil change or any other maintenance other than needing to replace the battery a couple of years ago and placing a car battery on the front rack and running wires to the starter. Learning curve is sharp, but looking forward to the experience. Thanks for your input.

I need a carb in the owrst way and am have gone down a lot of rabbit holes (over 90 tabs and counting). Factory calls for a Mikuni BST34/1 (I think, but need to check manual). I don't care what or who makes the carb, just need a basic reliable carb. No Racing etc, just puttering. I currently only have the cable with the round slide attached.
Don't care if its round if I know what other parts to get to make it all function.

Bought an old Yamaha (Moto 4 250) and the thing won't start.
It will start with choke full on - but close choke and it'll die. If you give it gas - it dies.
It will take throttle with choke on (and smoke like a chimney).
When I first got it the thing would start periodically - but again soon as you give it throttle it died.
I took the carburetor off and cleaned it all with carb cleaner and a tiny piece of wire (to get into the holes) I checked the float levels (good). Has spark.
What else could be the issue? I can safely say the carburetor is 100% clean - the pilot mix screw is set where it's supposed to be set (1 3/4 turns).
Driving me nuts.
I took the air filter off and cleaned and oiled it (would over-oiling the filter choke it from getting air?)
