I'm about to sell the ole '11 700 Griz and I'd like to clean up the metal exhaust cover that's toward the front of the machine. Its got a lot of surface rust so I'm figuring the best thing to do is just sand blast it? Any other ideas or thoughts on cleaning it up?

That will work, rustoleum makes a high heat primer and vht has a nice high heat gloss black that I would recommend. Most other high heat if matte black but the gloss looks really good. Before showing it I would run it a few times, it will smell and a potential buyer might wonder.

I have done the same thing, cleaning it up by sand blast or sand paper. But sometimes the finish is not that nice because the heat pitts the metal. I've cleaned it and used the high heat exhaust wrap. It's a tape that you wrap around the pipe. Works great and looks really cool.

You should use crushed walnut shell media. That's what we use at work and it doesn't do that. We do helicopter parts with it and you can't alter the part or it's not serviceable anymore.

Thanks for all the advice.  Doesn't have to look all that good really...just don't want it having the crappy rust look it's got going on now.  I'll prob blast it, paint it then be done.  What's that old saying, 'dones better than good' :)

I recently noticed my Fourtrax 2WD has 4WD wheels installed on the front.  The back spacing is significantly different than 2WD wheels and they are almost touching the strut springs and the tires actually do touch the springs..   So far, no luck locating 2WD wheels to correct this issue.

Hi, I am new to this forum I am currently working on my 1989 Yamaha front end.  The cv axles were bad so I changed them on both sides with all new wheel bearings. Now I'm looking at the front brakes and the 2 cylinders for the brake shoes on both sides do not work at all. I am also new at working on brakes so its a mystery to me what needs to be done to fix the cylinders.  Can somebody please help me with these brake issues? See the image below.
      Thank you,
      Olchap
