Polaris Recalling Thousands of ATVs Due to Fire, Fuel Leaks

Polaris recall in the news....

The recall on Wednesday involved 25,600 Polaris Sportsman 570 all-terrain vehicles issued under model year 2014. On July 20, Polaris recalled about 1,160 of its 2017 RZR 570 recreational off-road vehicles (ROVs).

Authorities in the US say the USA -built ATVs can develop a fuel leak that can see fuel get into the headlight pod and this poses a fire hazard. No injuries were reported. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Polaris received 30 reports from customers about fuel leaking into headlights and four reports about fires.

We will bring you details of any Australian recall of the Polaris ATVs as those details come to hand. The ATVs were sold in several colors. The second recall involves 2017 Polaris RZR 570 and RZR-S 570 ROVs sold from December through June for about $8,500. "Polaris is contacting all known purchasers directly", CPSC said in its recall notice.
