1989 KLF220A Wiring - Extra Blue Wires

Long story short, I purchased a basket case over the weekend. I spent most of last night repairing melted wires and generally tracking down everything. I am able to locate all the connectors but have a two pairs of blue and brown wires left over (one on a long pigtail, like it should be going to the back). The wiring schematic in the manual does not show them (though they are part of the factory harness) and I only find one indication of them in a US/Canada wiring schematic (Clymer, I believe) which does have them but it says they're for US only. Does anyone have an idea of what these wires are for and/or have them them hooked up to anything?

Bayou, yes. This is the wiring diagram I used to patch everything back together with. There is no mention of blue wires outside of the one running from the coil to the CDI. I haven't had a chance to get this running to test the wires, so perhaps this is something which will show power when the quad is running? From what I can tell, the Black/Yellow wires serve as the ground for the starting system while the Brown wire serves as the ground for the lighting system. If these Blue wires do come from the CDI, then I can see them being for lighting of some sort. Does the Bayou have some sort of lighting capabilities beside the hi/low of the headlights and the marker/lights of the taillights?

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

I am in the process of puting it back together after replacing the DPS gearbox.
The manual I have states that it will need to be flashed by a dealer. Is this still true?
Also , I have a mystery bolt That I cannot remember where it goes. M6x 70 or so.  Hex head with a flat washer.I will try to attach a pic.
Pic is no go for now....Cox issue I will try again later
      TIA
