Spun Bearing? 01 Grizzly600

Went to get Grizzly 600 ready for fall/winter, hard starting because it sat for a while. Got it started and was letting it warm up, then it just killed, acted like no fuel. Since it had been sitting, I put carb cleaner into fuel hose from the tank side of carb, then some Seafoam in tank. Got it running, throttled it up, then it backfired and quit again. Assuming it was still "lean" problem, opened vent at bottom of carb bowl to make sure fuel was coming in, checked out OK. Got it started again. 

While letting it warm up, had to wait several minutes on 1/2 choke, start to throttle up and start hearing a hard knock on upper right side of machine. Knocking only present on 1/4 throttle on up. Changed oil, thought everything was good, but found very small metal shards on side of waste oil container. Am I looking at spun bearing?

Machine starts right up, will run fine on 1/2 choke, starves out at no choke even when babying the throttle. No noise at idle or low RPM.

What do I look for next? (BTW, haven't done compression test yet)

      Hi all. I have a timberwolf 250 2nd that will not start.. I thought it was out of time bc the guy I got it from said it just quit on him. The tensioner had a nut welded to it and it was like2 teeth off. I installed new tensioner and chain and it still will not start. It has fire and it will not hit off brake cleaner. It has compression. Haven't put a gauge but I'm sure it will crank and run with what it has. I double checked my work and it's still in time. Spot on. Both valves move. I'm about to put a feeler gauge on them and I'll cone back but other than that any ideas?

      Hi all,
      Looking for some help on a starter/bendix issue. Can Am outlander 450 2017. While cranking to start, the starter spins and engages into the ring gear. After a few seconds the bendix retracts while still spinning and there is no damaged teeth on the drive pulley.

      (Question is at the end if you want to skip my blabbering) I got this unbelievably well taken care of Grizzly 350 in for a carb clean, it belongs to an elderly couple that bought it brand new in '07. Apparently whoever has been doing their oil changes for them never checked the air filter..
      Obviously it got debris in the carb, it would still run but only idle with slight choke. I've taken it apart and cleaned it, have new o rings, gaskets, etc. As far as the mixture screw is concerned, I'm assuming I obviously need to remove the plug. I'm mainly a lawn equipment guy, I've worked on slide carbs in the past but never an unmolested one with the plug still intact. I hate to mess with it as the carb had very little debris but I'm sure the o ring needs to be replaced at minimum. Finally, the question: what's the best way of removing the plug? I DO NOT want to mess up this carb..

      My 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660 seat is a mess, torn up, cracked, and I have been duct taping it for a while.  I bought new vinyl for $35 and need to do it one day. A new seat used to be well over $250 but now its under $100 so I couldn't resist. I got it on ebay with a 10% off coupon for $85.05 plus tax. https://www.ebay.com/itm/146040022154
