2007 Yamaha Grizzly 350 carb mixture screw

(Question is at the end if you want to skip my blabbering) I got this unbelievably well taken care of Grizzly 350 in for a carb clean, it belongs to an elderly couple that bought it brand new in '07. Apparently whoever has been doing their oil changes for them never checked the air filter..

Obviously it got debris in the carb, it would still run but only idle with slight choke. I've taken it apart and cleaned it, have new o rings, gaskets, etc. As far as the mixture screw is concerned, I'm assuming I obviously need to remove the plug. I'm mainly a lawn equipment guy, I've worked on slide carbs in the past but never an unmolested one with the plug still intact. I hate to mess with it as the carb had very little debris but I'm sure the o ring needs to be replaced at minimum. Finally, the question: what's the best way of removing the plug? I DO NOT want to mess up this carb..

Did you ever get an answer to removing the plug on your ATV carburetor?  I think I see a little hole there, just stick a strong pointy thing in and gently pry, it should come out.  Or use a short wood screw, screw it in 1/4" and pull it out.  Or drill a hole near one edge, then use a small screwdriver to pry it out.  Drilling shouldn't damage anything, as when it goes thru the plug you'll feel the drill drop down, so then just stop.  Done Johnson outboard carbs for years this way never a problem.

I did manage to get it out but I appreciate the reply brother. I did end up using a tiny drill bit as you mentioned.  I drilled the tiny hole in the center then stepped up to the next size bit, the second bit actually pulled it out as I was drilling. 👍

Glad to help and glad you got it out.  And thank you for marking my message as the solution, my first!😀  Also ditto to what Jen said, helping out the couple with their ATV is very nice of you, hope it works out for all involved!  You're right that ATV looks brand new, garage kept always helps.  I've still got my Dad's '86 Kawasaki Bayou 300 he bought new, almost always garage kept, getting just a little bit rough now after 40 years of firewood gathering but not beat like so many others I see, plastic still near perfect, starts and idles nice, on the original carb kit (!), put it back in after the Japanese kit I bought failed lol......🤣  Cheers and Merry Christmass!  Bellarmine

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

Just picked up an 84 LT185 ATV, I understand there was an accessory add  on that gave it electric start, anyone have any info about that kit?

Just picked up a 2006 Dvx400. There is a switch I can't figure out what it is or where it goes. Has 3 wires (light blue, black and Yellow)
