Hi people, I'm having an issue with my 1998 King Quad, when key is in pos. 1(start) no power, nothing same in pos 2(lights) when starting with recoil pos1 it acts like it's dieseling, switch to pos 2 runs perfect? I'm guessing new switch? any other possibilities? thanks for any feedback. SS

You  can  check the ignition switch with a meter  to  see  what it is doing ,  but I  would suspect it is faulty. Possibly  has corrosion  in it. There is a possibility  of a  loose wire   or connection , but  I think  you  are right suspecting a  new ignition switch is in  order.

Thanks for the input, did order new switch from Caitric got it yesterday and changed out. However the new one is mis manufactured as it has to long of a sleeve and not enough thread length to allow tightening down securely. Guess that's why it was so cheap🙄 So since I had the old one out, cleaned all the contacts, new dielectric grease, metered all connections and it looked good, so plugged it in and it fired right up everything working. Time to go mow!

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I am new to this site. I have a 1987 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport I think. Is there a difference between quadsport and quadrunner?

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.
